Huckabee made a bad decision in releasing a 17 year old from a 94 year prison sentence. Since then the american legal system is doing what it was designed to do; keep quilty people on the street. Plenty of blame to go around. Huckabee's only fault lies in making a judgement that didn't pan out. This, unlike our glorious leader who is now president despite going out of his way to not make decisions that could influence potential voters.
Yes but this has been a trend with Huckabee.
Its not the first time its bitten him in the ass.

And don't forget his lax stance on illegal immigration.
We should put Huckabee in jail for not being able to see the future.
****ty job Mr. Huckabee ****ty job.
Nothing to do with not seeing the future.
Animals are animals, he had the option of keeping this animal where he belonged and failed.

It's pretty lame of you to make a tragedy perpetrated by an animal into a political issue just to get cheap shots on illegal immigration and your hate for Huckabee in.
Oh,
my comment was non-suquitor. He should be jailed for not being able to see the future, though.
Since its painfully obvious you don't have a clue what this guy was charged with under Huckabee, allow me to enlighten you once again.
This isn't about predicting the future genius. Its about locking people away for what they do.
Maurice Clemmons received a 35-year sentence in the early 1990s for armed robbery and theft. His sentence was commuted in May 2000, and he was let out three months later.
MORE
Here are the figures for neighboring states since 1996, when Huckabee took office (and keep in mind the population of these states is nearly 20 times ours):
___ >> Louisiana – 213.
___ >> Mississippi – 24.
___ >> Missouri – 79.
___ >> Oklahoma – 178.
___ >> Tennessee – 32.
___ >> Texas – 98 (in-cludes 36 inmates released because they were convicted on drug charges with planted evidence).
Total: 624 vs. Huckabee’s 703.
Next time do a little research before slapping on the sarcasm tights.

Clemmons had been in jail in Pierce County for the past several months on a pending charge of second-degree rape of a child. He was released from custody just six days ago, even though was staring at seven additional felony charges in Washington state.
In another instance, Clemmons was accused of gathering his wife and young relatives around at 3 or 4 in the morning and having them all undress. He told them that families need to "be naked for at least 5 minutes on Sunday," a Pierce County sheriff's report says.
...
Deputies also interviewed other family members. They reported that Clemmons had been saying he could fly and that he expected President Obama to visit to "confirm that he is Messiah in the flesh."
Clemmons moved Washington in 2004, after being released from prison in Arkansas, state Department of Corrections records indicate. That would mean he had gone five years or so before landing in serious trouble with authorities here, according to a review of his criminal record.
Clemmons served 11 years before being released.
News accounts say Huckabee commuted Clemmons' sentence, citing Clemmons' young age at the time the crimes were committed.
But Clemmons remained on parole — and soon after landed in trouble again. In March 2001, he was accused of violating his parole by committing aggravated robbery and theft, according to a story in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
He was returned to prison on a parole violation. But in what appears to have been a mistake, Clemmons was not actually served with the arrest warrants until leaving prison three years later. As a result, Clemmons' attorney argued that the charges should be dismissed because too much time had passed. Prosecutors dropped the charges.

Yeah, whatever.
Here's the critical paragraph in the linked OP article:
The man had a known criminal record, was being held for a serious felony, and was facing possibly SEVEN additional felony charges in Washington, and the COURTS still saw fit to release him back into the world.
The problem was the COURT, not Huckabee.
Other gems:
Well, everyone knows Obama is the Messiah. He's not going to have time to visit everyone to prove it, He's going to test their FAITH.
Oh, and don't forget this:
and
PROSECUTORS DROPPED THE CHARGES.
In other words, if the legal system had performed properly, he would not have been in Tacoma to kill some cops. Thus Huckabee's earlier commutation of his sentence has no relevance to these recent events.
Actually, it's best to get the non-performers off the list before the race even starts. Huckabee is one.
List of those who should really get ZERO support in the 2012 Republican nomination process:
Romney - socialist
Guiliani - liberal
Anything named Bush - Bush
Huckabee - anti-evolutionist (anyone that stupid shouldn't be voted for.)
Thompson - He snoozed, he lost, let him keep nappin'.
Paul - dork and doesn't know what the US Navy is for.
That's pretty much it. Anyone else deserves their chance to shine. These old farts need to go to the country club so Mrs. Wood can beat on them, too.
Yeah, whatever.
Nothing to do with not seeing the future.

QUOTE]
What does not believing in evolution have to do with being president?
Historically I would wager that the majority of U.S. presidents did not believe in evolution.
Would you deny the presidency to a George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, or Teddy Roosevelt because they did not believe in evolution?
Whatever you need to do to excuse a Republican.
TACOMA -- While Pierce County's elected prosecutor claims a decision by Arkansas authorities cleared the way for accused cop killer Maurice Clemmons' release from jail, Arkansas corrections officials say they issued a warrant in October that could have kept him confined.
On parole for various felony convictions in Arkansas, Clemmons was briefly jailed in May after allegedly punching a police officer during an incident at his Parkland home. He was again booked into jail in July on a series of allegations, including that he'd raped a 12-year-old girl at his home.
Clemmons' confinement was initially guaranteed by a no-bail warrant issued by the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections after he missed a Pierce County court date. That warrant was later dropped and Clemmons was released after posting bail on Nov. 23, days before he allegedly gunned down four Lakewood Police officers at a coffee shop.
Speaking Monday, Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist faulted Arkansas officials for dropping the warrant, noting that his department's decision not request an increase in Clemmons' $190,000 bail would "be a moot point if the no-bail hold was still in effect."
Responding to the criticism, Arkansas Department of Community Corrections spokeswoman Rhonda Sharp said her agency issued a second warrant in October that could have seen Clemmons continue to be detained.
Huckabee did what all govenors do....he made a decision. Kinda like clinton. The only real difference between huckabee and clinton is huckabee didn't do it for profit.
Just think. If Clemmons had gone straight to the gas chamber, none of this would have ever happened.
