do you think the shooter was a professional

I think there's a decent chance they never find the guy.

I think there's a decent chance they never find the guy.

Very, very unlikely in this day and age of mass digital surveillance. There is a chance they'll never find him alive, but I'd put odds of close to 100% that they'll find him. This isn't the perfect crime or anything.

As for the killer's profile, I'm not convinced that it's a progressive. For one thing, most progressives I know aren't particularly skilled with high-powered rifles. Not saying they don't exist, but they're not that common. I think it's probably someone like the kid who tried to take out Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania. A white male, not necessarily political, though he certainly could be. Angry at the world. Possibly suicidal. Wants to take his frustrations out on people and make a name for himself in the process.

I could be way wrong on this, obviously, but that's my first hunch.

If they never find him, I'll default to conspiracy theory mode and assume this is a false flag operation. I don't think it is, though. I think they will catch him dead or alive and they'll have to figure out what the **** was on this guy's mind.

Odds are it's an angry suicidal/homicidal white male who's pissed off at the world and wants people to know it. He might be political or he might not be.

The other possibility that crossed my mind is ex-military who may also be undergoing some sort of personal crisis but who may also be angry at the MAGA movement. Perhaps he figured security's too tight to go after political figures so he decided to go after less secure but still 'high-value' targets like conservative commentators. Could be a person of color or white. Not sure.

what kind of false flag could it be?

Let's see if an FBI loaded with sycophants is up to the job.

what kind of false flag could it be?

The kind in which MAGA assumes a liberal terrorist was behind the murder leading to more Executive Orders intended to restrict the rights of anyone who opposes the regime. It could be anything from opening the door to more intrusive mass surveillance to more aggressive attempts by the President to use the IRS and regulatory authority to attack his perceived opponents in the media and nonprofit organizations.

Executive Orders by themselves do not carry the weight of actual statutes enacted by Congress and signed by the President. But we have a Congressional majority that no longer challenges the President and a partisan Supreme Court that seems to be enabling him as well. So in essence, Executive Orders become the de facto law of the land until they are challenged and defeated in Court, which doesn't seem to be happening right now.

Yes, betrayal can lead to a strong urge for revenge ...

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk faced accusations of betraying elements of the MAGA movement in July 2025 for initially criticizing and then backing off his demands for transparency regarding the handling of Jeffrey Epstein files. His shift in position was prompted by a personal phone call from former President Donald Trump, leading some of his followers to feel abandoned.
