They could though if a crime is committed in their jurisdiction. They have the power.Someone clearly doesn't know how policing works....
Patrol Cops aren't the ones who arrest CEOs for Fraud. Those are detectives. Patrol dudes bust yo ass for slingin' dope on the corner, speeding tickets, DWIs, and all that commonplace ****.
That is how it works.
Revisionist propaganda fun fun.First of all the founders where corrupt men that put in place a system that suppresses the masses. They had no intention of helping the vast majority of Americans, their intention was to help themselves and stop the populist revolution they saw coming. They did a damn good job. The only exception is Benjamin rush. He was good.
I havent actually met any of these people though. Perhaps you are surrounding yourself with idiots?Their are plenty of Americans that trust the government depending in who is in office. It's a silly notion, but that's how allot of people think. If their guy is in office they trust it...
Like it or not huh? That is a convincing message you are sending there. No I certainly did not, their are much MUCH more. Socialism is the answer and will happen like it or not...
Did I mention Russians or Stalinists? Nope I did not.No again I don't have goggles. The Russians where stalinists and on a large scale socialism has never really existed. Communism can't exist with a government. They are mutually exclusive terms.
You are brainwashed by free market crap that will always end in oligarchy as it has in america now... Whoever said "lazze fair" should have been shot on the spot...
Revisionist propaganda fun fun.

Those founders that you hate so much didnt want completely free markets either.
Happy will it be if our choice should be directed by a judicious estimate of our true interests, unperplexed and unbiased by considerations not connected with the public good.
They do with lobbying which they do to no end.Police don't have the power to make/change legislation.
Im speaking from THEIR perspective.
I would call that moving the goal posts - speaking from the "perspective" of the outsider and student of history, the "War on Drugs" is a dismal failure.
No the easiest way would be to legalize drugs and address the systemic problems and inadequacy's of america.
You obviously have american brainwashing as well. I do not have "hood" brainwashing as you so comically claimed...
Im aware of Leap... I am a member (and no longer a Police Officer). The police perspective is screw the people we want money.
They lobby for prohibition they could stop that...
Their are a few police that are for legalizing all drugs, their called leap, and most of it's members are no longer pigs because of their opinions...
They could though if a crime is committed in their jurisdiction. They have the power.
Someone doesn't understand how crooked pigs are.
Actually its pretty well documented in a peoples history of the united states by Howard Zinn. Why do you think they had to put down so many rebellions after the war? Or why they left slavery/misogyny intact? Or why Washington got the land he was due in the American Indian war, but gave it to no one else? Or why in the federalist papers it says:
Notice how Hamilton says it would be good if their decisions where in their own interests and not for the common good?
Theirs other examples, but I'm afraid no matter what evidence your confronted with you will deny it.
Benjamin rush was good. He was a abolisionist. He believed in universal healthcare and education, he was a teacher. The rest where greedy men trying to protect and further what they had.
No they wanted a market they could control and manipulate to their own ends.
Do I care what you mentioned? Nope I do not...
And yes like it or not their will be class war in the coming decades if current trends continue. For better or worse. It will be good if socialist, and bad if libertarian, but it could be that both unite and fight together with the understanding that different states with different rules will be made in the end.
Howard Zinn seriously? The peoples history of the united states is a Manichean fable. A big pile of bull****.
And of course you dont care what I actually say, you are only concerned with getting the propaganda out there.
Though there are parts of Zinn's history that have problems, there are other sections that are well documented as you might find if you were to take the time to read the book. Attacking a text simply because you have been told it is worthless does not support your position.
Yea propaganda right... That would be what you have spewed here...Howard Zinn seriously? The peoples history of the united states is a Manichean fable. A big pile of bull****.
And of course you dont care what I actually say, you are only concerned with getting the propaganda out there.
Ummmmm where does that site say anything close to that?Been told by who? My source: » Explore by Theme Zinn Education Project
Oh and thanx for confirming that the book is nothing more than half truths.
Actually the evidence is out in the open. The just need to make the arrest. It would take hours.Yes, because a patrol officer is going to get away with not answering calls for service, and manage to investigate a Fraud case that takes months in order to waltz up into a corporate office building and take down a CEO.
You sir, don't know a damned thing about police work. Please STFU about police work if you are this ignorant.
Not really most of it is quite accurate when compared to other sources, just from a different perspective...Though there are parts of Zinn's history that have problems, there are other sections that are well documented as you might find if you were to take the time to read the book. Attacking a text simply because you have been told it is worthless does not support your position.
It doesn't. In fact it ends in someone getting shot because someone probably ratted. Its not moving goalposts..... Police have to do what they can, with what they can. If rounding up drug dealers in the hood prevents someone from getting shot on that particular night before they are in jail for the night, then its a win.
To claim stating these facts (because thats what they are) is "moving goalposts" is just absurd. The goalpost was never legalization of drugs to begin with.
No universal anything, capitalism, the amount of poor, the amount in prison, the food system as a whole, what where doing to the environment, the differences in inner city and suburban schools, the wealth gap,What are these "systemic problems and inadquacy's of America?
Please, be specific.
SureeeeeeeeeeeeIm aware of Leap... I am a member (and no longer a Police Officer).
However, it doesn't change the fact that you got to stop slinging fingers at Drugs Laws as the problem to blame for everything.
Yes, because a patrol officer is going to get away with not answering calls for service, and manage to investigate a Fraud case that takes months in order to waltz up into a corporate office building and take down a CEO.
You sir, don't know a damned thing about police work. Please STFU about police work if you are this ignorant.

Really most of this amounts to problems with capitalism.
It doesn't. In fact it ends in someone getting shot because someone probably ratted.
Do study up before you speak?
Sureeeeeeeeeeee
Frankly I don't believe you. I don't blame drug laws for everything, I do blame them for allot of the problems with prisoner populations and so on, as does leap.
And pigs need to pay for what they have done, their part in lobbying, and their abuse of power. Some should be jailed, all should pay reparations out of pocket and do community service..
Pigs have stolen billions of dollars of property from non violent drug offenders over the years, for this they must pay.
Not to mention massive civil rights violations, like this thread...
Yummmmmm bacon go crunch...
And pigs need to pay for what they have done, their part in lobbying, and their abuse of power. Some should be jailed, all should pay reparations out of pocket and do community service..
Typically, rights are not read until the suspect is in custody. Thats the part that comes after the cuffing. But seriously...I think dood knew his 'rights'. After 30 previous arrests he could probably have cited them backwards, frontwards, and in Latin. So Daniel Pantaleo goes free after applying a choke hold that results in a man's death while Mr. Orta does two years for a firearms charge? OK. In that video I didn't hear them read Eric Garner his rights. Did you folks hear it? Not that it matters. Seems like the NYPD do things their way.
Actually rights are not read in cases like this. They only have to read them if they want to question you and use it in court, and even still they usually just lie and say they did. I know allot of people this has happened to.Typically, rights are not read until the suspect is in custody. Thats the part that comes after the cuffing. But seriously...I think dood knew his 'rights'. After 30 previous arrests he could probably have cited them backwards, frontwards, and in Latin.
