“Hi, I’m a bit confused, we are staying at your Airbnb and there’s a dog here? We didn’t realize there would be a pet around and it’s not mentioned on the listing. Just checking this is in fact your dog? Or have we stumbled upon an abandoned dog?”
“Hey. Oh yep, that’s my girl Xanthe! Sorry if that wasn’t clear in the listing… She's basically the guardian of space, deeply in tune with its energy. But don’t worry, she’s super chill and just here to vibe,”
Among the guidelines: Xanthe only eats a “spiritually aligned diet,” drinks filtered water to avoid “disrupting her chakra balance,” and requires a daily two-hour sound bath featuring “ancient dog chants.”
Do ******* what? :ROFLMAO: Gimme my money back weirdo. I'm out. Zero stars!

I wouldn't know what to feed her and I don't know what dog chants are, but I'd be fine with having the dog there.

I'm not playing dog chants.

Weird, now article pops up page not found for me. Anyone else? Maybe found to be a bogus story?

If Google 'Airbnb pitbull', article(likely bogus) still pops up under Yahoo New Zealand. 🤷‍♂️

"Oh. Okay. Thanks for the info. I don't care about the spirituality of this dog, but the only good pit bull is one with a bullet hole between its eyes...and I didn't bring my 9mm. I'm leaving."

"My people believe in consuming the essence of a spiritual animal by consuming the animal. Thank you for this thoughtful provision."

Might be a good way to put fire up an ass...

Nope, that's you own fear talkin.
Uhhh, no. It's reality talking.

I've had an experience with a pit bull. It ended up dying and good riddance.

There is also a LOT of evidence of that breed's volatility.

I don't believe you. I have years of experience working with those generic dogs falsely labeled as pit bulls. Come visit us if you can get past your fear of 'others," you seem to have a lot of that going on. ;)

No more so than any other breed. Nurture, or lack thereof, trumps nature.

I wouldn't be comfortable staying there with the dog. The owner could come get it or refund my money. Most likely I am leaving.

If I don't know the dog then I don't want any of the aggressive dog breeds around me. Pits are incredibly strong.

Pit bull-type dogs are statistically the breed most commonly associated with fatal dog attacks. Studies have shown that Pit Bulls are responsible for a significant portion of dog bite-related deaths, often outnumbering other breeds. For example, a DogsBite.org report found that Pit Bulls were responsible for 66% of fatal dog attacks in the U.S. between 2005 and 2019.

Why?

I don't like pits!

I don't think people should have them for pets.

They make great catch dogs for hogs.

But you never know what will trigger one.

The statistics don't lie.

It can easily come to a tragic end.
