I get that, but that's not really a concession. IT's simply a magnanimous gesturer on the allies part. Japan had nothing to negotiate because they surrendered after we dropped two nukes. JD Vance isn't stupid, he isn't uneducated. He knows all of this. But in order to be part of maga, you *have* to humiliate yourself on behalf of a child rapist.

It’s Orwellian Doublethink
 
He's technically correct, but it's how you get to the negotiated settlement that's important, as well as what the parties involved get out of it. WW2 did end with treaties between the warring parties, but we didn't reward the aggressors with territory or roll out red carpets for their leaders.

The treaties were imposed, not negotiated. The Axis powers unconditionally surrendered.

But that was done as a means of keeping the populace in line. We did it because it served our purposes.
