Lindsey Graham says women 'have a place in America' and 'can go anywhere' if they are against abortion

I understand comprehension skills are sometimes difficult. But, context matters. If you watch the ACB confirmation hearings you'll see he's made the same point there. He brought ACB to the forefront of his campaign in the closing days of the election. The point he was making was that there's a circus of liberals who are willing to attack women and try to hold them down if they are conservative, religious and pro-life. Her confirmation is a symbol to young women with these values that they won't always be held back by the leftist mob. And congratulations, 👏 you're 👏 proving 👏 his 👏 point. 👏

It's the opposite of your 'translation.' It's a response to what exactly? When you know that, then you realize that it's not racist or exclusive. (Context means everything, including in LG's statement)
Graham's statement is in the context of ACB taking a seat on the SCOTUS. It's not exclusive either.

He got way into the weeds in his statement, opened the door way wider and was very clear. I do understand it was a response, a 'counter', to what he considers her to be...but his statement was very clear.

South Carolina voters should throw this misogynist and racist out of office. Graham is an embarrassment to the state.

South Carolina voters retained Graham. I guess the women folk there don't mind being verbally abused by Senator Graham.

Must be a southern red-state thing.

The father stays home and raises "their" children? Both have a choice. What if that's his choice?
Ouch. I only asked for a definition of traditional mother. I'm really happy when there are two parents and when either one can afford to stay home with the kids until they go to school. That's the critical few years.

Yes, his statement was very clear. Despite what many Democrats believe, women can go anywhere in this country no matter their religious beliefs.

Based on your poor comprehension it's proved correct. Reading comprehension can be difficult. Ironically, it was your closing argument to the post I was responding to. Not sure why you think disagreeing with yourself makes you seem intelligent.

Let me know when you're caught up. I understand some people are at the far left of the bell curve.

When you see yourself as a victim everything is an attack.

The fact that he felt he had to say so is disturbing. It was like he was granting permission.

Can't imagine why he would think leftists would mock the idea of discussing conservative women getting ahead in public life. It's almost like staring into a mirror and not seeing yourself.

I've never seen nor read of liberals/Dems doing that. I think you made it up.

The fact that he felt he had to say so is disturbing. It was like he was granting permission.
Yes, he shouldn't have had to, but even now the left is calling her "illegitimate" and saying she is unfit simply because of her religion.

She has made herself a target for that because of her chosen "political" associations. Not personal, but political.

Look at it this way, we are all (most?) very conscious of a justice's lean...conservative or liberal. That indicates a position, correct? So when someone also politicizes their other positions/beliefs...is it unreasonable to be concerned that they will support those as well? Religion is a very strong influencer for many people. Many say they place it above 'country.'

Girls are not allowed to vote in America or register on Debate Politics. So for the purposes of being a voter and DP member, it is very important.
And that is one of the biggest injustice of our time.

Nah.

The folks of South Carolina should PROUDLY and LOUDLY be embracing their racist misogynist U.S. Senator that is Lyndsey Graham.

They need to let the other 49 states know full well what they think is important to them by keeping Lyndsey and embracing him solidly!

Women have a place in America all right.

LOL since you cant prove it, seems I'll have to figure you are describing yourself.
You've proved your ignorance in this thread a few times over. You're the only one who hasn't realized it yet. It's OK to admit you were wrong and you misinterpreted something due to your biased filter of victim mentality.

And yet, you never managed to show where...you are just flaccidly lashing out with no discussion...just more 'cuz I said so!'

Oh, poor you. 'Cuz you said so' aint a debate. It's a fail.

I have shown you where you are wrong. Watch the confirmation hearing. Watch his public comments in context. He is clearly saying that as a pro-life/conservative woman she is breaking new ground by making it to the Supreme Court and she is a role model for conservative women who have similar goals. Somehow you are unwilling to accept that because you're panties are in a bunch over a conservative replacing RGB or something. Search within yourself to figure out why you're being so ridiculous. It's getting absurd.

If it was true for RGB it's true for ACB. Stop being offended and pretending he's saying something he's not to fulfill some grievance mentality.

And stating it like everyone else has said that women like her (that he lists in his speech) cant. Which is bullshit, No one has said that.

Your not recognizing that...or not acknowledging it...is absurd.
