...of himself
The Trump presidency has perhaps been the most unkind to Graham's credibility and integrity.
...of himself
Lindsay Graham is the worst kind of politician of any party. He has no real convictions or ideology, it changes like the weather.

Lindsey Graham is the worst kind of politician of any party. He has no real convictions or ideology, it changes like the weather. Lindsey Graham imagines himself to be a real life version of Atticus Fintch in To Kill a Mockingbird. Oh, the drama!
He really never had much credibility.
I think since John McCain's passing, he's attempted to become his own man.
I like the guy that doesn't sound like he's parroting McCain every five minutes.

Before 2015 I really only knew him as a pro-war conservative to be opposed. Since then, I've lost almost all respect for him as a rational, thinking human being with principles.
That's because you're a progressive leftist.
If you were a conservative you'd better understand what he supports but I never supported his and McCain's warhawkish ways. I doubt many conservatives do.

What does he support - really? I don't mean what he's speaking for or against today or tomorrow. Seriously, what is his real creed, what are his ideals? Lindsey Graham's loyalty goes only so far, and his goes every which way, depending on the day, week, month - or proximity to Election Day. Lindsey is up for re-election in 2020 and if Trump's administration is in the ****ter, Lindsey Graham will be anti-Trump. If Trump survives this onslaught of criminal accusations, he'll still be on Trump's side. Lindsey Graham is from South Carolina, one of the redder states in the union so he better cheer for Trump right now or fade into obscurity. Lindsey Graham is a like a teenager on a hormonal rage sometimes, it's so bizarre that it looks like bad acting.

Lindsey Graham on the Issues
Despite his recent appearance of loyalty, he has to answer to his own base and let's face it, many from his base are also a part of Trump's base.
Is he an opportunist? Show me a politician who isn't.
I think his biggest allegiance is to the press though... He loves the camera on him.

Of course his base is Trump's base, he's from S. Carolina - he better be part of Trump's base. If you recall, he was John McCain's sidekick. They were practically inseparable. That's because he legitimately idolized John McCain and probably wished he could be more like him. Yet, Lindsey Graham knew there was bad blood between Trump and McCain. He knew how Trump insulted John McCain by saying "He's not a war hero. He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren't captured." People know that John McCain was captured and tortured in a Hanoi prison camp, but most people don't know the extent of torture John McCain suffered at the hands of the Vietcong. A lot of people also don't know that as a POW he was offered his freedom because his father was commander of US forces in the Pacific and the Vietcong saw this as an opportunity for leverage by releasing John McCain early, but he refused release until his fellow prisoners were freed.
This is the kind of man that Trump said wasn't a hero, and that Lindsey Graham could support this type of man who treated his 'best friend' like "like a dog", speaks volumes about the integrity and character of Lindsey Graham.
Good point...
You fully caught my attention with your last couple of paragraphs.
I guess I didn't see it because I have never been a fan of John McCain.
