It's only heresy if you believe what Christ said, not Joel Osteen.
"Verily I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
That's in Matthew, Mark and Luke. 'Verily' means truly, it's meant for emphasis. But many Christians don't get their beliefs from the Bible, they bring their beliefs to the Bible and search for affirmation.

Yes. The question is why be involved in this kind of thing, except for leveraging people's trust to get access to their bank.

I'm on record supporting all religious organizations to self-form business entities and pay income taxes tho. So I'm probably the wrong guy to ask.

The problem with that is, religious organizations will want more say on government affairs or policy.
