So the libertarian party of new hampshire is threatening democrats calling people based shit posting and just being horrible.

Libertarians have clashed online over a tweet appearing to glorify the assassination of Vice President Kamala Harris.

The official account for the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire wrote in a now deleted post on X, formerly Twitter: "Anyone who murders Kamala Harris would be an American Hero."

The tweet was replying to a post about toning down threatening rhetoric and came hours after the apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump at Trump International Golf Club, West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday. Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested and charged with gun offenses after fleeing the scene.

Chase Oliver, the Libertarian Party's presidential nominee posted a condemnation of the post, writing on X: "I 100% condemn the statement from LPNH regarding Kamala Harris. It is abhorrent and should never have been posted."

But the local branch snapped back at the party leader, writing "F*** off and read any book on libertarianism, you infiltrating leftist f****t."

The party had deleted the post, writing in a later post "we don't want to break the terms of this website we agreed to."

"It's a shame that even on a 'free speech' website that libertarians cannot speak freely. Libertarians are truly the most oppressed minority."

Newsweek has contacted Harris's campaign, and X via email and Oliver via online form.

X's terms of service define violent conduct as "content that threatens, incites, glorifies, or expresses desire for violence or harm."

He says libertarians are oppressed because people dont like death threats how delusional are these people?

The person who runs the NH party twitter account is just a deranged individual. He's been like this for years now. I think he even tweeted out a quote from Hitler in a positive way once. He's also been consistently extremely racist.

Little outbursts like the one in this thread are par for the course. At the end of the day he is just one guy with a twitter account that somehow was allowed to run the NH party social media.

And the NH Libertarian Party has not in anyway tried to distance themselves from him or denounce him. They are complicit.

I mean, it is to be expected. Nine times out of ten, American right-libertarians are on the spectrum of put-upon racists to outright fascists angry that their tax money is going to help poor brown people. They try to mask their social Darwinism under the trappings of affected classical liberalism, but there is almost nothing in their desired policies that helps to secure individual liberty and self-determination.

I am curious to see if any libertarian can point to the book and in particular any chapter that tells libertarians that killing those you disagree with is a good thing.

They'll just say that they were tyrants, wannabe-tyrants or the willing servants of tyrants. Killing tyrants is A-Okay to many self-described libertarians.

It makes me wonder what kind of control the national party has over state branches. Is it that they can't control the state branches or that the won't?

They showed up at his house. He basically gave them the finger and they left without pushing the issue at all. Hardly “descended”.

Some background. This isn't 'people in NH'. The LPNH is lousy with freestaters, that pox on our house. This is those **** mother****ing freestater loons.

NH is actually one of the safest places in the world. You are less likely to be murdered in NH than almost anywhere else.

We have our problems, and the freestaters are at the top of the list, but please remember that they came here to cause trouble. They're not from here.

But here's the part I remembered:

The project has been associated with an increase in the number and aggressiveness of black bears in town, including entering homes, mauling people, and eating pets.[14] A single, definitive cause for the abnormal behavior of the bears has not been proven, but it may be due to libertarian residents who refuse to buy and use bear-resistant containers, who do not dispose of waste materials (such as feces) safely, or who deliberately put out food to attract the bears to their own yards, without caring how this affected other people.[14]

After a rash of lawsuits from Free Towners, an influx of sex offenders, an increase of crime, problems with bold local bears, and the first murders in the town's history, the Libertarian project ended in 2016.[13][14][18]
