I served eight years in the Army, and served a tour of duty in Iraq. I saw some of my battle buddies die, and heard about many of my comrades losing friends that they knew as well.

I remember attending some of their funerals, seeing their weeping parents, loved ones, siblings, etc.

And I remember that all of us signed up knowing that coming home in a box was a real possibility, but we were still willing to go wherever our country needed us to go, and fight whoever they considered America's enemies.

Well many veterans today disagree with the necessity of our recent wars, all of us remember and honor the memories of those who didn't come home.
