It is the right that taught Kirk's killer to shoot as a little kid.
It is the right that demonized his life style choice.
It is the right that preached messages of hate to him.
But it is the left's fault?
When an assassination or tragedy happens, people always rush to blame “the other group.” Because the first rule of racism—and really, of tribalism in general—is to slap a label on others. He/she was MAGA, liberal, transgender, gay, or even a Klingon!
Think back to Columbine. The blame was thrown everywhere: video games, rock music, The Matrix and other movies, and Marilyn Manson. And yet, ironically, the very night before, the U.S. had bombed the hell out of Serbia—and not one person, left or right, blamed our military actions.
The truth is: bad things happen, often for no reason other than something that triggered the perpetrator. But here’s the uncomfortable question:
why does this happen so much more frequently in the U.S.? You don’t see nearly as many assassinations or school shootings in other countries, not even in so-called “third world” nations. Are Americans simply more violent than people in other first-world countries? Are we more prone to being brainwashed or triggered? Or are there deeper systemic reasons?
We all know the answer. But very few are willing to accept it, let alone fix it. As the saying goes, the hardest part of solving a problem is getting everyone to agree on the root of the problem. Once that happens, solving it is actually the easy part.

NO is the American People culture and government's fault
Once the majority of us figured we had had enough, events like this can be mitigated and stopped. and yet we are far far far far far away from that day
