Let's end this Popular vote vs EC once and for all.

Who are you arguing with as I see nobody denying that Trump won the EC?

Yes there are.

There are several who refuse to say he won the EC and refuse to say he won the overall general election.

They only regurgitate Hillary won the popular vote, over and over again.

There are a few that refuse to acknowledge or even say it, but it is a violation to say who because they are not commenting on this thread as of yet.
That little bit of learning cost me a few points at one time.

Sure. But it's not going to happen in the near future, so anyone whining about the results of THIS election just need to get over it. I'm leery of a President Trump too, but it doesn't change the fact he was the winner under our election system. So it's time to stop crying about it and get working on doing things which can have a noticeable improvement on this country.

I voted for him, but was not a supporter.
To me, he now has a mandate to do what he said he would do.

It would be a stroke of genius for him if Obama would pardon Hillary.
That way Obama would be the bad guy, he could not do anything about it, and he did not renege on a campaign promise.
I feel he kinda reneged on one when he said she was "good people".
She is anything but.

I think it is funny how some members say their lean is UNDISCLOSED, yet their posts leave no doubt.

Perhaps you can link to their posts because I have seen nobody on this site who says Trump did not win the EC vote.

Our founding fathers knew if the popular vote was all that is needed, then the rest of the country would be subject to the tyranny of the large cities.

5% of the population lived in an urban area in 1790. This may be your rationale for the Electoral College but it certainly wasn't the Founders'.

Myth: the current WTA system protects small states

Truth: no presidential candidate has visited any state with a smaller population than New Hampshire for this election.

Myth: our current system encourages presidential candidates to campaign all across the states while a NPV would condense most of the election to 4 states

Truth: condensing most of the election down to 4 states is exactly what our current system does.

Myth: NPV is "tyranny of the majority"

Truth: In this election, a third of California's votes went to trump, roughly 4 million. Those 4 million people's votes don't mater because the majority voted for clinton. But under NPV, political minority voters in safe states would be able to vote without it being washed out by the majority. So if anything, our current system is the true tyranny of the majority.
