There are in the USA some incredibly ignorant people that buy guns. People with no firearms experience or training. People who buy a Glock 17 (or whatever the latest fad is, check the internet) shoot about 25 rounds at the range (it hurts my ears!!!...where's my phone? Is it supposed to be THIS LOUD?????)..
Then proceed to put it on a shelf in the garage. Where their 4 year old kid finds it (loaded, of course) and proceeds to shoot their younger sibling.

Stupid sons of bitches....

Yes there are.

It's almost as if they should have some sort of mandatory training and licensing procedure to own a firearm.

Would that prevent the scenario in the OP?

We don't require that for anything else. Why should we require it for firearms?

It's almost like states should make it illegal for people to recklessly endanger their children by leaving loaded firearms lying around.

All potentially hazardous equipment has appropriate regulations. Firearms is the only class of potentially hazardous equipment which cannot be properly and reasonably regulated because …well, what part of “shall not be infringed” do you not understand?

So we are being forced to live in terror and blood because we are a free and proud people, you see.

So we have mo'e better shooters?

Given Heller, how could they?

How can you possibly disagree with this?^^^ Regardless of what side you're on?
Some people feel the gun should be readily available for self defense.

Every citizen should be held with heavy liability when owning, using, selling or having a firearm.
