When Leslie asked Trump why the constant attacks on the media continued after he won the Republican nomination, Trump told her that by placing doubt about the media, his supporters wouldn't believe anythinq bad that the media might report about him.
SIMPLE manipulation tactic by a "wannabe" dictator/ autocrat.= The exploitation of the essentially dumb and extremely gullible Trump supporters.
Not that I don't believe you, because Trump is a vile, dishonorable manipulator of the easily manipulated, but do you have a link?
If CBS isn’t your cup of tea.........Lesley Stahl/Trump/Media

He said, 'You know why I do it? I do it to discredit you all and demean you all so when you write negative stories about me, no one will believe you.' He said that," Stahl told the audience, adding, "So, put that in your head for a minute."
WTF? The man is so out of control he doesn't even attempt to lie about it.
Cue his supporters telling us how absolutely awesome he is to do this, and, well.....HILLARY!
It's a smart tactic on Trump's part.
We know the multi-media is obsessed with only reporting negative stories. He's just giving back what they are giving him.
Of course, the snowflake multi-media cry like little bitches when Trump slaps them around. That's to be expected.
Also...it's not "smart"...it's dishonest. It's reckless. It's not like his idea of any of his methods are novel or even advanced. It's a smart tactic on Trump's part.

So with the NOKO deal in shambles, when was the last time Swampy ever did anything good?
wow...even with him saying he's pulling the wool over your eyes for his own purposes you still defend him.
You guys are sheep looking for a shepherd and obviously you guys have 0 standards.
That observation isn't surprising for others have said as much. All the same, that his private bearing matches his public one is actually among the more disconcerting things about him. Some may say that they like that because it shows he's genuine, authentic, etc. Well, yes, and I can appreciate that, but his authenticity doesn't negate the reality that his being consistently a vulgar rube necessarily means too that there really is "nobody home," that there's no "there" there. He really is the same off camera that he is on camera, exactly the same.
???
What on earth does NK have to do with this?
Oh...wait...never mind. Just another deflection.
Moving on...

I asked you a direct question. Name the last time Swampy did something good. You claimed that the media's coverage shouldn't be all negative....So what should they cover?
Heck, I'll tell you the first time Trump did something good: The day he was inaugurated he tossed an Obama EO in the trash.
If he said that, then yes, I agree with you completely. However, it's a "He Said, She Said" at this point, and I don't easily believe either of them. Can I believe that he would say such a thing... Oh yeah, no doubt about it. But until I hear it on a recording or video, I tend to also believe at this point that Stahl could be adding to the quote either knowingly or subconsciously - it isn't hard for our brains to remember what we assume a person meant and add flourishes to quotes from that long ago. I know she's a professional reporter, but she also has a well documented pro-Democrat anti-Republican sway to her reporting, not to say for sure that is true here.
My only point is, I try not to let my confirmation bias allow me to instantly believe things from either the press or politicians just because I can easily see how whatever they may be saying could be true and fit my preconceived view of the target of what they're saying.
That said, Again, I have no problem believing that Trump would do such a thing. The actual funny part is, all politicians manipulate like this, and Trump is so freaking arrogant that he has no problem admitting it because he truly believes that even if he admits what he's doing (like what he said about shooting a person in the street) that his supporters will continue to support him, regardless. That's the funny part. The sad and scary part is he's probably right about his supporters.

President Donald Trump told the veteran "60 Minutes" journalist Lesley Stahl that he bashes the press to "demean" and "discredit" reporters so that the public will not believe "negative stories" about him, Stahl said.
Since Trump just gives them what he gets from them, you aren't saying anything good about the media, are you?

I don't need his tactics to show me how screwed up the media is, but low-info people do.
Of course, it works the other way, as well. There are plenty of anti-Trumpers who don't care about the nonsense from the media, but their useful idiots are influenced...so it's all a good thing.
