Latin American countries can do it like this

I think that every man who lives in countries of Latin America and the Caribbean would agree with me that we got to develop ourselves in the climate of liberty and independence. We are inheritors ancient Indian civilization and thus don’t need to be directed by some stupid yankees! I’m sure that a stupid custom of Washington to screw every other state up has annoyed just every free-thinking man on this planet. We must not allow them gain flesh at our expense and still be teaching us what to do. I think we can do it if we stick together with the countries that were successful in gaining independence and are doing well defending it. Our strength should be in the unity of independent countries and allies that stand interested in fair partnership and cooperation, not giving the law to us. Then, why not acknowledge independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia on the model of Nicaragua and Venezuela. Just for your information, these two states were the first ones to acknowledge the two Caucasian republics, now they receive considerable promotions from Russia in the field of soft lending, development of trade and economic relations, and military-technical cooperation. So, I believe this makes a lot of sense!

I am not certain what you are advocating here. MERCUSOR already exists as does CARICOM so that deals with trade blocs. Now as far as political strains go that is a whole other issue. Brazil and Argentina are squabbling - again, Venezula is intent on becoming a regional superpower with its arms buildup. Its claims to Guyana are worrisome at best and its support of terrorist groups in Columbia is likewise troubling. The lack of any political willingness to curb the illegal drug and arms trade by the Latin countries is having devastting effects on the Caribbean nations but the South Americans dont seem to care.

Silvy, I am also latin american and I dont agree with you. First of all, we are not only "descendents of Indians" as you say. At least here in Colombia, we are very diverse, some of us are black, others are whites, there are also indians, mestizos, in Peru there are many japaneses. I think our diversity is great and is one of the best things of being latin american.

Second, you are silly, the United States are our neighbors and we can't do anything against it. We need them, but they need of us too. Thanks to the help of presidents Clinton and Bush, and now Obama, Colombia is now a safe country. Thanks to the help of the USA, Haiti has still not fallen into anarchy. I recognize the USA (or the "Yankee Empire" as you call them) has done many mistakes and even crimes in Latin America, but also many times the United States have defended Latin America against our real enemies, like drug dealing and internal problems.

Sorry but the political theories of your lord Chavez are not working. Chile just turn to the right yesterday, Brazil is going to do the same, Honduras did it the last year, Panama two years ago, Colombia is not allowing you to infiltrate us, the same as Peru, Mexico, Guatemala. Only the puppet states of Bolivia, Ecuador and Nicaragua continue following the Venezuelan Red Monkey. Even Paraguay and Uruguay's presidents said they won't follow Chavez, so... CHAVISM FAILED
