Okay. When I was really active in real estate, I used to have gel nails. Once every three weeks; an hour in the salon = beautiful nails for 2-1/2 weeks to point at "signing lines." Ha! Now, I just do a regular manicure once a month (hardly extravagant-$10+Tip). Takes 20 minutes plus drying time for the polish. And then I polish in between.

A friend said, "Maggie!!! You've got to try the No-Chip Manicure!!"

Okay!!!! So two weeks ago I got a No-Chip Manicure. Took over an hour. OMFG. Two coats of shellac, under the UV dryer; 2 more coats; then the color; then under the UV dryer. Just shoot me.

So. This morning, I noticed my manicure had worn out. I went to remove the polish. "Oh, no, Maggie!! Not so fast!!" Nail polish remover doesn't quite do it. Soaking a cotton ball in 100% acetone, wrapping it around each nail, then wrapping each FRICKIN' NAIL in tin foil and sitting for 45 minutes does it. Maybe. Not quite.

Tomorrow I have to spend an hour or more at the salon down the street to get this **** off my nails so we can go out to dinner with friends tomorrow night. It's.Not.Fair.

NO-CHIP MANICURES SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
