Sen. Alex Padilla was forcibly removed from a news conference Thursday morning with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Noem was speaking in Los Angeles about recent ICE operations in the region when Padilla was removed from the room after saying, "You insist on exaggerating." At least two men approached Padilla, a Democrat, near a wall and pushed him through doors near the rear of the room. He can be heard saying, "I am Sen. Alex Padilla and I have questions for the secretary."

Noem had been speaking on California and Los Angeles leadership moments before Padilla was removed. "We're not going away," Noem said just before the disruption. "We are going to liberate the city from the burdensome leadership, mayor and governor."

Noem said, “We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialist and the burdensome leadership that this governor and this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into this city.”

So...what? Just disappear the leaders and install illegitimate Trump toadies a the point of a gun? Is LA where Trump begins his campaign to become America's Putin?

Or is it more of that "just hyperbole" until the thing happens, at which point, the pivot will be "ok but you made us do it", then "so what", then "ok it's bad but you're worse"?

Think of all the times they told you you were paranoid, then they did exactly what you said they'd do.

Blue state governors had better get it into their heads that this isn't going way if they just keep their heads down. They're going to have to be ready for state-federal confrontation and people are going to have to be ready to flood the streets in protests that shut everything down, else accept rise of fascist dystopia and the end of "elections" in the no longer leader of the "free world".

And remember: MAGAs will troll you with lies about how you're Chicken Little, right until they're dancing over America's grave. Or should I say "Americans' graves"?

The federal government "liberating" a US city from its elected mayor and governor?

Any Trump supporters want to weigh in on that one?
I'm sure they are bending down even further to kiss the ring, no wait...the butt...no wait...the toes of the rapey felon and his minions including the puppy killer.

Padilla seems to think being a senator allows him to disrupt the Sec's press conference and that he is above the law.

What is your take on post 3
Why is the federal government going to "liberating" a US city from its elected mayor and governor?
I think the press conferences today made that very clear. They’re going to make it rain felony charges on the rioting scums because this isn’t the jurisdiction of an otherwise lawless State and City. They poked the Federal bear.

What does charging the rioters have to do with "liberating" the State of the elected Mayor and Governor?

/sacasm
if the rioters were MAGA supporters Trump would be giving them a pardon. After all it is ok to protest and break the law if you are.

They pushed the United States Senator from California out of the room. They're sending marines to LA and they pushed the Senator out of the room. They dragged the Senator to the ground and handcuffed him. I have never seen anything like this in my life. If a U.S. Senator from the state Noem is putting federal troops in against the governor's wishes wants to ask a question, he gets to ask a question.

This is intimidation. This is brown shirt fear mongering. This is against the 1st Amendment and the ideals of democratic government. This is illegal.

I'm outraged. OUTRAGED!

Then Noem starts threatening too remove the mayor and governor as if she can. Government by fiat is here. TACO's cabinet is unqualified, unrestrained, and unamerican. I fear for the republic.

You’ve never seen a disrupter removed from a press conference? Were you born yesterday?

A U.S. Senator from California is not a disrupter. He's a duly elected representative of the People of California. If he wants to ask a question, he gets to ask a question.

This is disgusting. Republicans are absolutely out of control.
