Ketchup Is the Absolute Worst Condiment

Well, bad news because ketchup scores #1 on the worst condiments list.

It has its place. I don't use it much but it is a must on fried eggs and as a dip for grilled cheese....oh yeah and a serious MUST on Kraft Dinner.

Vegemite is not a condiment, it is a means of torture that should be banned by the UN
Who looks into the bottom of a Beer brewery vat and says..."Yeah, I think those gloppy yeast dregs left over from making beer would be great on toast"?

I like ketchup. It's great on fries, jalapeño kettle chips, and the Royale with cheese

As a matter of thought, I think that's the only time I use ketchup; on fries.

What do you folks think of mustard?

I am very lazy and make sliced ham and sliced cheese and mustard as a standard lazy and quick sandwich meal. Not fancy ham and cheese, either. Very lazy style of preparing sandwiches. Anyway, I'm an awful cook, with a capital "A" - a really bad-bad cook. And I have a terrible habit of letting things get past the expiration dates --- the "best by" dates.

I love mustard, all types of mustard, as a condiment on lots of things. I must have 7 or 8 different ones in my fridge.

Oh gosh! I never even knew there were 7 or 8 types. I use one style only; "Heinz" Yellow Mustard. Just squeeze some out and spread.

My goodness; 7 or 8 types!! You DO like that condiment!!!

I like both regular and spicy mustard.

Wait, I might be making a mistake about one thing. I love wasabi with raw fish and that might be related to the mustard family? Maybe. Horseradish and mustard are sort of in the same family? Just shows you what I know about food. Zip-zero-nada. But I know a fair bit about raw fish. But as soon as the fish gets cooked, I'm again lost.

Why is it the worst? You never said.

Oh gosh, that's too cool for just hitting the 'Like' button. Thank you.

Mustard stuff has been around and used by humans for a long time, yes?

How about ketchup? Is that a new thing? Or has also been around a long time?

STILL, nine styles. And maybe you missed a few that weren't listed on the site where you checked.

Dammit, Snowflake, leave ketchup alone, it never hurt anybody, we don't need to fight over this!

Just make sure you buy French's... ;)

If you are anywhere near the GTA, check out Starsky's. They're an eastern European grocery store, and their mustard aisle is about as big and diverse as an American sugar cereal aisle. There are waaaaaaaay more than 9 varieties. :)

It's up there with mayonnaise, tartar sauce and poutine. All vile.
EXCUSE ME?? Poutine? Maybe you haven't had a proper poutine, but only the pretend kind. Sheesh.
