Birth certificates are meaningless as to reflecting the truth. At least at the time of birth which I always thought reflected all the pertenent information when one was born.

A birth certificate would be completely useless if it didn't reflect someone's actual, legal name. It's a document that certifies that someone was born. That's it. How would you even be able to find someone's birth certificate, if it didn't have the right name attached to it?

Snips aside, I do not get the logic of a state making a line in the sand with something so petty as to hold a birth sex as in for a transgender (presumably post transition.) It just seems like intentional cruelty.

I firmly stand against the idea of forced surgery by strapping someone to an operating table to change their sex.

No, it is not a lie and it still means something. Your birth certificate is a crucial document for identification. As such, it may need to be updated to reflect who you are.

Let’s say you find a seed on the ground. Say it looks like the seed for a red oak tree. So you plant it in the ground and put a label next to it identifying it is a red oak tree. As it grows, one day you realize, it’s not a red oak tree, but a white oak tree, so you update the label. Now, which is the lie, the wrong initial label, or the revised one?

Not only did they correctly identify that you said it was shaped by evolution, but they also specified what their point was.
