MAGAs don't understand the difference.

It's the same thing with tariffs - they quite literally don't understand how they work.

For most MAGA, "price controls" is a trigger phrase like "caravans" and "drag shows" - they don't need to know what they are, how they differ from anti-monopolistic controls, etc. They just need to scream the phrase loudly, causing their bodies to produce hormones that generate feelings of physical pleasure.

Can you be specific about how banning price gouging by rich corporations, is a bad thing for most people, and how allowing price gouging is a good thing for most consumers?

No, cracking down on gouging is not price controls but shows the desperation pro-Trump media have become.
