Justice Dept. to Cut Two-Thirds of Inspectors Monitoring Gun Sales

Stocking up on those always consoling 'thoughts and prayers':

The department plans to eliminate 541 of the estimated 800 investigators responsible for determining whether federal dealers are following federal law and regulations intended to keep guns away from traffickers, straw purchasers, criminals and those found to have severe mental illness, according to a budget summary quietly circulated last week.

Good news for some people round here I guess, they'll finally be able to get hold of one of their coveted bang-bangs.

You're not very smart are you. Invest the majority of all machines are stopped by someone with a gun.
I think they should eliminate all 800 and dissolve the department completely.

Yes that is a pretty core part of the liberal argument when it comes to guns. Specifically countering right wing claims that banning guns doesn't help because people still have knives and cars and shit.

That's not the right wing claim. The right wing claim is banning guns doesn't help because we still have guns.
