He's doing it with a company employee. Big companies have policies about that for a reason. He and the HR leader he's having an affair with are expected to abide by and actually provide leadership in support of those policies.
Also as CEO he's expected to conduct himself in a way that isn't disreputable to the company's image.
His infidelity is a problem at home. His professional misconduct is a problem for the board.
And you'd think the HR leader would be fired, or at least on leave. I mean, is it appropriate for the HR leader to be having an affair with the CEO??
