So let's deal with the reality. A lot of people here have said that it would cause unrepairable damage to the classroom if kids were harassing the teacher. (not sure if you have) If you agree with that, how would it be any different if the teacher were being harassed for being gay or muslim? What solutions to the problem would change? They obviously wouldn't fire the person, so they'd have to actually deal with the disciplinary issues. It's one thing to argue theoretical situations and completely something else to deal with reality.
Taller people should not have advantages over shorter people.
Thinner people should not have advantages over fatter people.
Beautiful people should not have advantages over "not-so-beautiful" people.
What should happen, and what does happen are two different things.
From what I've seen of this lady's "work" on the internet I feel confident that the school made the correct decision.
I'd rather error on the conservative side for the sake of the kids than error on the other side just for one woman.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
It's possible some other school, having seen all this commotion, will offer this lady a job. This might work out in her favor.
At least now the truth is out there.
Ok, so you have no solution for what to do if the kids were harassing the teacher for being gay or muslim. You've refused again to answer what would be done if the kids are harassing a teacher.
I had a solution for both: discipline the kids and teach them that we live in a tolerant society.
ThisI just addressed it.
You seem to think all discrimination is bad despite the fact that I keep demonstrating it isn't. In fact, I'm sure the next time you go out to dinner you will discriminate against bad chefs.
Does not answer HOW it would be fixed, you just went off again saying gay is different.1) difficult is not the same as impossible. Unless students had access to footage of the gay teacher and muslim getting plowed I doubt the responce from students, teachers, and parents would be the same. But if it was, the nature of the thing causing the controversy is different

Can you admit that the primary reason the school leadership did this was almost certainly so that they didn't have to deal with the flak from the parents?
One, being gay or muslim isn't the same as making commercial porn for public consumption. Hence, responding to the possible rigors of employing such a person would demand a different response.
like I said, this is ore akin to getting a tattoo on the face
dude, as people have explained it would likely be an ongoing issue every year. I doubt the response to a muslim, or even a gay person, would be similar to a porn star. If it was, clearly there is a more reasonable demand to attempt to better control the issue, with the added man power and resources it would require, for something with more social value than a porn career or a ****ty face tattoo.
Again, the entire nature of the two are totally different
PS are we really arguing "pornstar as oppressed class of people" now?
Attempt # 4. You're continuing to try to make the argument that being gay or muslim isn't the same as being a pornstar, and continue to refuse to answer how it would actually be solved if the kids were harassing a gay teacher.
You're still not describing what would be done, just that added man power and resources would be required. Come on, half of your arguments have been based on quote: "My personal experience", yet your experience isn't enough to tell you what would be done?from above "If it was, clearly there is a more reasonable demand to attempt to better control the issue, with the added man power and resources it would require, for something with more social value than a porn career or a ****ty face tattoo."

So what would be done?
what, are you asking for a specific plan of action?
Yes, you've said over and over again that when the kids start harassing the teacher, nothing can be done about it. The harassment would be such an issue, that the teacher (in this case, the woman) would have to be fired. You've gone on to use words like 'impossible' when describing the students in their learning environment.
read what you quote here. then read my response about the nature of the two things and why one would warrent the extra effort in addressing, while the other one concerns something of no social value (offensive face tattoo)

It's the same reason political speech is protected but some guy yelling profanity on the corner isn't
Yes, I know what your views on face tattoos are, and I couldn't care less. I've tried for far too many posts now to ask you what you would do, and after having refused to answer, playing dumb, then refusing to answer again, it's obvious that you don't know what they would do.
You've found yourself caught in a logical fallacy. You made your argument up on how impossible it would be to stop kids from harassing a teacher, yet can't explain what measures would be taken to stop the bullying of a gay teacher.
Fact is, I know exactly what they would do when a kid harasses a teacher, because I've seen it. They suspend the **** out of him. The rest of the kids tend to keep their mouths shut, at least around teachers, after that.
I don't really have any desire to keep watching you avoid questions, so I'm done here. I bid you good day.

So she should wear a scarlet "P"?
1.) i work in schools and with youths so im there and sadly you are right in a way, SOME areas/schools let the KIDS run the adults, well thats WRONG and doesnt happen in my area.
2.) easy the ones that dont listen to a teacher, thats not hard
3.) my point is we dont makes excuses for them to not listen
4.) I would have flipped out! but i would have also listen to the teacher because i had a proper up bringing and would have got my ass beat if not. I saw a naked pic of a teacher who was my friends mom does that count? lol so no its not ridiculous, whats ridiculous is giving the kids an because to act like idiots, or ignoring they had access to porn etc etc
5.) why is it different says who? you?
i didnt say life is fair but my opinion wont change that this is not only unfair but its unfair discrimination unless more info comes out, now thats jut my opinion but i feel that way because this is an imaginary line they made up that anybody could do the same for any reason they want and that's bull in this country.
The point is that most of the boys will be daydreaming about this teacher and NOT listening to the lessons. Come on dude, we're talking about middle school-aged boys who saw their teacher in a porno performing sexual acts. Lol!

Some of the responses to this thread are so out of touch with reality, it reads like an episode of "The Twilight Zone" or something. The point is that most of the boys will be daydreaming about this teacher and NOT listening to the lessons. Come on dude, we're talking about middle school-aged boys who saw their teacher in a porno performing sexual acts. Here's the "reality".
Religion and gay/straight are part of people's private lives and everyone has those things they must deal with.
In this case, the porn star turned teacher went FAR beyond sex being her private life. She made it VERY public. Graphically public.
Huge difference. If you can't see that, I can't help you.
I'm sure some school somewhere out there might like to have her as a teacher.
As long as she's honest about her past, she can apply for whatever job she wants.
Let her teach adults. I'm totally fine with that.
It's one thing to argue theoretical situations and completely something else to deal with reality.
