A judge in Fulton County, Ga., dismissed a GOP lawsuit on Thursday that sought to block voters from using absentee ballot drop boxes after normal business hours. The GOP sought to prevent ballots from being received after business hours, typically no later than 5 p.m. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams ruled Thursday afternoon that she did not have jurisdiction in the case due to sovereign immunity laws, the newspaper reported. The effort by Republicans to limit absentee ballot drop-off hours comes as President Trump has refused to accept the results of the November election.

Boy - you have to admire their persistence. When it comes to voter suppression, the Republicans just never give up. In any and every conceivable way that they can, they work tirelessly to keep folks from voting. History doesn't lie. The lower the turnout, the more likely they are to win.

True that. As long as there are a few fair judges left, the bad guys will still struggle feverishly through the night to cheat only to fall just short ..... for now.

if i was the President of the GOP you're damn right i'd try to suppress the vote.

Republicans love power and hate democracy. All they care about are their bank statements and job titles. I have been posting here more than a year and am still waiting for Republicans to prove me wrong about that.

Can you just imagine if liberals tried to pull that off?

I wonder what was the rationale for setting a cut off time of 5pm. Was it based on the "freaks come out at night" rule? Seems rather arbitrary.

Republicans care too chime in, why do you want to stop others from casting a legel ballot.

Are you so filled with hatred for the otherside you would dump on the Constitution?

Seems that way since election day and Trumpd antics.

if Republicans are PRO America then why are they making it harder for AMERICANS to vote?

So the judge said she did not have jurisdiction?

Does anyone have any jurisdiction over the process to elect officials?

Because they believe they are the only real Americans and that they alone should rule over all others. They simply do not acknowledge the other side at all, their entire philosophy is to discredit and control anyone who is not like them. Since they are conniving scoundrels, they find ways of stealing elections while covering up their tactics with clever ruses like voter fraud or dead people voting or voter caging etc. They have turned it into a science. The last thing they want is for the people to vote en masse because they know the majority of us do not accept their ideas.

Indeed. If it is the GOP involved and the subject is elections then suppression is the goal. In no other western democracy does a major party spend so much time and effort trying to either make sure people do not vote or trying to make sure those votes are not counted.

In other countries the major parties come up with party platforms to try to win votes, in the U.S. the party platforms are controlled by the campaign contributors. Since people are not a consideration when it comes to platforms, they must be removed from the democratic process, as much as possible.
