A video published online by Islamic State (IS) militants claims to show Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh being burned alive.
The video, which could not immediately be verified, showed a man standing in a cage and engulfed in flames.
Lt Moaz al-Kasasbeh was captured when his plane came down near Raqqa, Syria, in December on a mission to support the US-led military coalition against IS.
Jordan has been attempting to secure his release as part of a prisoner swap.T
he video was distributed via a Twitter account known as a source for IS propaganda.
Gonna be interesting to see what Jordan's response to this is.
Indeed it will be.....as the Jordanians threatened to Execute all ISIS members they have, if they killed him.
News outlets need to stop reporting the means of ISIS executions. It encourages them to come up with more barbaric ways of killing people as part of their psychological warfare efforts.
This is important, because for Muslims, being burned to death, or even being burned after death is the worst possibility imaginable. They believe they can't get into heaven, if their body is burned.
Well I hope they have the balls to follow through, or ISIS is going to assume that they can get away with whatever they like from here on out.
It is still part of psychological warfare and the media is acting as their agents whether they intend to or not. Sure it is newsworthy and legitimate reporting, but isn't it a lot like school shooters--the more media attention the shootings are given, the more it plants the seed into somebody else's mind to do it themselves? I don't think there is a right or wrong position as far as the press, but if I were a media outlet, I would be having some pretty heady discussions about this issue to decide to what extent we should be reporting certain details knowing we are spreading the message the extremists want spread.
These twisted bastards don't need anyone to give them any ideas. They'll come up with them all by themselves.

That you consider them twisted bastards is more or less what they want. They want to be feared.
Heap more appalling bestiality on the situation, that always ends well. ISIS don't give a ****, they do what they like already. Your way, they get more martyrs for the cause as well.

I don't understand how not calling them the twisted bastards they are is going to solve anything.
What about the infected, and we just gonna bring them their cure. Were just helping with their sickness. :2razz:

The more twisted they seem, the faster people will run away when they come instead of standing up and fighting, which makes their task at hand exponentially easier--less resistance and fewer people to contain once they do win.
I say we give them a ****load of martyrs.
They're winning the rightwing religious fear war. You're just aiding and abetting them from the sidelines by helping to spread it..
