Jon cut right through the garbage and right to the real problem facing our kids today.

Jon is right, the republicans are nothing but hypocrites and don't give a damn about children killed by guns.

Jon said it's the number one killer of children in the USA today and I'm not surprised.

Yet the republicans persecute and go after drag queens.

The priorities of republican politicians these days are really messed up.

The hoopla about drag shows is manufactured nonsense. Kids are in no way, in any sort of danger or whatnot from drag shows, or whatever. It's just the continual social conservatives ramping against LGBT people, and since they're losing the gay marriage battle hard, they focus on trans people/drag shows, because it's an easier target for the right.
 
Cons would say “But we can’t do anything about guns because guns are protected by the 2nd Amendment”, while ignoring that Freedom of Expression (which drag would definitely be covered by) is protected by the First Amendment.

It seems that republicans believe free speech and expression is only important for the right to spread their lies, hate and division.

The second amendment is the only important part of the constitution to the republicans. It seems to be the only part of the constitution they actually like.
 
Not only will I call your hand, I'll raise one almighty second amendment, take that. After all the blah, blah, blah, what it comes down to is we love our guns more than our children, period.

It was facts v current right wing talking points, and it was an absolute rout of the talking points. They know they don't have to bother with any details when they are only concerned with impressing their nasty nitwit base, but this was embarrassing.

Up to 19 year olds are counted with The "children".

So tons of gang bangers murdering each other pads the numbers.

Take that out, and cars become the number one issue.

Liberals are not making poor little johny getting crushed to death by autos a national issue.

And I know why. They like cars. So the deaths are a fair tradeoff.
 

There are a great many regulations on the auto industry specifically put in place for safety of passengers both at the federal and state levels.

i saw it and it was hilarious and the senator was exposed for the fool he is

the reality is though when false narratives and propaganda like the senator was pushing is met with FACTS, reality and common sense its always gets destroyed and falls apart

Or not. Maybe the nut will g left should not be obsessed with getting in front of kids with a man in a thong wagging is rear.

Do that on your own time, leave it out of the schools where many object.

And guns are regulated.

You might say "not enough because kids are dying".

Now apply that logic to cars, the number one case of death for real children .

That isn't a thing. That's called moral panic. You have been duped by a handful of dubious horror stories into believing that this is a national epidemic, and that "the left" (your neighbors who love their children no less than you do) are all a bunch of pedophiles trying to sexualize children. This is not a rational belief.
 
I am sure most are not intending their actions to be grooming. But it has that effect imo.

It's a thing for sure. Maybe not many of them ate doing it. But parents do not want to just cross their fingers and hope.

This should not be an issue. These are schools not I doctriniation camps.
