I am done with you on the topic.

Obama says (and i quote) "The reforms I am proposing will not cover illegal immigrants", The proposed bill does. What more must be said? Joe wilson has publicly proclaimed that legislation proposed by GOP to close the illegal coverage has been shot down by Democrats.

The President picked his words very carefully. What he means is "if he were writing the bill himself, his bill would not include covering illegal immigrants". To put it another way, he was telling Congress, "read my lips, no illegals".

As I've pointed out in previous posts herein, H.R. 3200 would not use federal funds to offset the cost of health care to illegal immigrants except as current federal law dictates. What Rep. Wilson and other was trying to get at was that the bill may not allow it, but it didn't provide provisions to ID people to ensure illegals would not receive health care on the tax payer's nickle. By all accounts, this loophole should now be closed. Problem (that shouldn't have been a problem in the first place) is now solved.

Voidwar and ewm90,

You guys spent 3 pages arguing over...what?...???

H.R 3200 is a real document. What it is not is a legal document; it remains a proposal. As such, nothing in it is legally binding...yet. There's still time to make a few changes here or there. So, both of you relax.

I was not arguing I was saying what is so and explaining why.

Health care is so very very important to me if I when with out health insurance and there was no medicare I would die a painful agonizing death. I am just one out of millions how would suffer.

Some one calling out lie on a detail that side tracks the bill is some thing I will not stand by and do nothing.

I will not stand by and do nothing.

But you will avoid a direct yes or no question. When you avoid that question, you lose your credibility, and in the internet debate world, your credibility is your ability to "do" anything.
