Joe Biden said antifa is just an idea?

That's a lie. What Biden actually said was :

Asked to disavow white supremacists, President Trump addressed the Proud Boys directly, telling them to "stand back and stand by." He did not expand on what he meant.

TRUMP: Oh, you gotta be kidding.

BIDEN: His FBI director said that.

Biden's claim wasn't that Antifa was an idea, but that the FBI calls him that. And they do, they list Antifa as an ideology, not a militia.

Probably shouldn't start threads out with blatant lies.
 
But haven't you heard? Director Wray is a member of the Deep State! That became obvious way back in April when he had the audacity to contradict Trump's initial Antifa claims.

By the way, does anyone else find it odd (e.g. not believable in the slightest) that Trump has heard of Antifa but has supposedly never heard of the Proud Boys? Once again, his own words prove that he's incompetent, a liar, or both.
 
Oh no, he was ****ing lying. In fact, no one specifically said Proud Boys in the debate before him. They had said for him to condemn white supremacists and right-wing militia. It was Trump who said "Proud Boys stand back and stand by". If he had never heard of them before, how would he know to respond with their name at that point?
 
I could've sworn it was Biden who mentioned them by name, while Chris Wallace was saying more general "white supremacy" Biden got specific. Hard to keep up with 3 people talking at the same time though.

I was going by the transcript, but listening to the audio, you are indeed right. I think that Biden blurts out Proud Boys.

Yes.. Trump can't get himself to say "I denounce white supremacy and right wing militias". And pressed by wallace.. he is "who".."what?".. all confused on who exactly Wallace wants him to condemn...(pretty low fruit... like White supremacy)...
Biden gives him an example... "PROUD BOYS".
And Trump says "Proud Boys.. stand back and STAND BY".
Which I a really surprised no one has brought up. Because basically when you tell someone to "Stand By"... you are asking them to get ready to help you if you need them.
"The other firefighting engines were put on Stand BY in case they were needed".

Trump basically not only did not condemn white supremacist and right wing militias.. he asked them to be ready when he needs them.

Which is why the Proud Boys are exultant.

This particular group is not antifa...it is a part of the Torch Network coalition. They formed in response to a neo nazi music festival in 2007. They frequently out nazis...nothing wrong with outing nazis. I oppose violence against opposition groups and this includes this group who is virtually unknown here on the East Coast and Proud Boys who are well known scum on the East Coast.
