Yep, I'm sure I'd get people angry if I arived in a sleepy US vilage with a dozen armoured vehicles and people running about damanding everyone ID themselves for my safety.

There are ways to go about going on holiday and her could have just been a normal human being and trurned up with a couple of protection officers and he'd have had a lovely time.
What he did was advertise his presence and then get upset when the locals told him where to shove his armada of goons.

As a principle..if it is not an official government visit, JD Vance should not be treated any differently than the next guy. This also goes for his security.. no armed SS and they have zero power to question, detain or anything. Any security measures need to be paid by Vance after it has been approved by the UK security services. He can hire private security if he wants, but they have to ophold all UK laws.

If he wants to waste US taxpayer money, then do it in the US or a 3rd world country where he and his 4th reich goons can piss on law and order.

They do that a lot in the UK. And they like to arrest people for what they write on social media. It's no wonder people are upset.
 
Why on earth did he want to come here with his kids ? There is a wierd place in the US where they have recreated Noahs Ark.
He could have takken his kids there, They could have had fun there playing with the monkeys while Vance could have stoned sluts at the nearby abortion clinic.

after that the whole family could have gone for burgers and thrown scraps to the poor.
The kids would have had a great time.
I used to live in the Cotswolds as a young man and its a great place fot a country pub lunch but it aint disneyland.
I cant see vance being welcomed in any pub though.

Because the when he tried to "vacation" in the US.. several places there was massive protests and verbal attacks by people he and his family were near. He aint exactly popular over there.

I am glad he did not come here to the Costa.. fun fact, when the rich and powerful want to "get away from it all", they often come here. There are hotels and areas that cater to these people and privacy. They are well guarded by private security and local/national police. Been like that since the 1950s under Franco.

Surely he would have been welcome in Mar y Lago. Ive seen it many times with dickheads outside waving Maga flags or weaing them. He could have taken the kids to Alligator Alcatraz for a day out. Maybe his wife would not have been welcome I suppose.

When president Clinton came to Vancouver I was informed that the mistake Americans make is that they don't realize those countries do not allow firearms carry....practically ever. The threat to a president is nil in comparison to that of his own country, the worst he can expect is thrown vegetables....which I figure every president deserves.

The other consideration was the huge embarrassment of then vice president Richard Nixon having his car attacked and nearly rolled by demonstrators in South America in the late 1950's.


Eisenhower was furious and began beefing things up.

In this case the British government has rolled over for Trump. The couch man's visit is for home consumption to show the fans the US still has one friend, sort of.
