I don't trust a billionaire, because the amount of neck-stomping and punching down on the poor you have to do to achieve that status is almost a necessity (thus, he'll have a record that needs to be scrutinized). So by default, I'm doubtful of this guy. He talks a good game and says all the rights things. But show me your politics, don't just tell me. Name the ghosts that visited on you Christmas Eve and put the fear of death into you. Put your fortune into messages and politics that would tax your fortune and prevent you from existing as a billionaire.

That said, he's leagues better than Gavin Guilfoyle and I'll take him over anyone Carville would support.

I heard about Pritzker's speech this morning. It's definitely making waves. It's about time that a Democrat ripped Trump and the Republican Party like this.

Trump is evil and he is a mad man. Why did it take a Democrat 10 years to speak the obvious?? The Democratic Party's cautiousness is a major reason why Trump is now president.

Pritzker has my vote for president in 2028, just based on this speech alone.

This is where you wander from reality. Tribalism is tribalism, whether the tribes are race based, nation based, religion based or class based. Your hard unwavering opinion blinds you to wealthy people who are not monsters. Who are actually community minded businesspeople. Look up Mackenzie Scott. Sure, she divorced for the cash, but she's probably the biggest philanthropist donating to the needy.

There's a local billionaire Jeff Jacobs who made his money in real estate development. He redeveloped a blighted part of Cleveland that now is a vibrant community center. Ran for Ohio state treasurer, lost, and moved to Nevada. He's not required by law to offer affordable housing. He does it out of a sense of community.

He also provides jobs to the "poor," and has almost singlehandedly turned a once crime-ridden dilapidated area of downtown into a crime-free, bustling family friendly downtown district. He has his detractors, but to most he is a local icon. He cares about his legacy. As he redeveloped a section of downtown Cleveland to the community's benefit, his vision has been to do the same thing for downtown Reno. He's really not interested in profit. The plans each have to pay for themselves, so expansion will be driven by demand, but he's spending his own money in hopes of creating something special. He's one of the good guys.

One needs to be free of class tribalism to notice these people. They do exist.

Carville knows what's happening on the street. These same "poor" you reference above.

Pritzker is fine. I like his attitude and the fact he has a backbone. The size of his bank account is irrelevant.

This is one of my favorite parts of Pritzker's speech, when he rips the Democratic Party --

While Pritzker continued to attack Trump, he also focused on what he says are shortcomings in his own party, assailing Democrats for listening to “a bunch of know-nothing political types” instead of everyday Americans. Without naming names, he called out Democrats “flocking to podcasts and cable news shows to admonish fellow Democrats for not caring enough about the struggles of working families.”

“Those same do-nothing Democrats want to blame our losses on our defense of Black people, of trans kids, of immigrants, instead of their own lack of guts and gumption,” Pritzker said.
