Ishiba Pledges to Boost Japan’s Investment in U.S. to $1 Trillion; Trump Says Meeting with Nippon Steel Execs Scheduled

<p>WASHINGTON — Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba pledged to boost Japan’s investment in the United States to about $1 trillion (about ¥151 trillion) during his first in-person summit with U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday.</p>

Increasing the investments in America, Japan has committed the amount to $1 trillion. Good news for both Japan and the US:


"WASHINGTON — Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba pledged to boost Japan’s investment in the United States to about $1 trillion (about ¥151 trillion) during his first in-person summit with U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday.

During the meeting at the White House in Washington, Ishiba also expressed Japan’s intention to increase its imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) produced in the United States."


Also, with the increase of purchasing LNG from America. Things are looking up for the economy.

Foxxcon has paid millions in property taxes and created ts of jobs in Wisconsin. We need more relationships like this, but with lots of manufacturers.

People who shit on the Foxxcon plant because it did not create the number of jobs first imagined are the same people who love $8 billion being spent to get 8 EV charging stations under Biden DOT.

It's also important to note, the trade deficit with Japan is around $100 billion, and in 2023 their investment was around $783 billion. An increase of $117 billion eliminating the deficit.

I went to UF and am a GATOR. Seminoles is our big rival and they call us the lizards. A Gecko is like a lizard. The name goes back to 1997 college message board names.

Michael Douglas is a good actor. I understand Gekko was a corporate raider who profited of liquidating companies and insider trading and we assume he went to prison in the end because Bud Fox gathered evidence for the SEC against Gekko.
