James Woods Blacklisted by Liberal Hollywood & now by Agent on 4th July

If you had read the article, and the article it referenced, all from Fox, maybe you'd know. Some of us read more extensively than just the sound bite, only to have to later educate those who were too lazy? You're welcome.

James Woods retires from acting after saying he's blacklisted because he's conservative | Fox News

James Woods is dropped by 'liberal' talent agent: 'It's the 4th of July and I'm feeling patriotic' | Fox News

Still not seeing where he was 'crying like a bitch.' So, obviously, your reading skills arent a fraction of what you pretend they are.

Lets not forget Arnold and Ronnie, both had successful careers and went on to become governors of California...and one even became the prez.

Maybe Woods could get some acting gigs with Central Casting....or FoxNews. lol

Excellent point.

Why do other conservatives seem to find meaningful work in the entertainment business?

There's a conservative actor named Clint Eastwood, been trying to break through for decades, never got a chance, and now he's too old to ever get one.

yup - when those old 50's TV westerns died out - so did his career.

Off the top of my head.....

Clint Eastwood
Kelsey Grammer
Gary Sinise
Tom Selleck
Jon Voigt
Sly Stallone
David Lynch
Angie Harmon
Ben Stein
Jeff Foxworthy

all are amazingly successful and have made fame and fortune in the business.

Is there anyone younger than 50? I notice that a lot of these men were essentially "grandfathered" in, having built up a great deal of goodwill. But I do not see any younger conservative actors or actresses, at least none who are able to be open about their political views as much as liberal/progressive actors and actresses are about theirs.

What's hard to understand? It's fairly transparent. 99.99% of those in the industry are just workers no different from anyone else. They clean, make coffee, make appointments, type, file, do interviews, put makeup on, build props etc. etc. times a thousand. The idea that they're bathed in some kind of 'glowing light' is just a myth. Working in that industry like most others, is not easy. Remember, that's not stardust on your shoulder. it's dandruff.

Look, seriously, it's OK that you don't understand how the industry works in terms of agents and who they rep.

The odd thing is that you keep trying to pretend that you do, and you're just looking like a fool.

Why do that?

I will be honest with you - I know precious few people in the film business under the age of fifty that I know anything about their political views.

Many people who live somewhere or work somewhere think they're experts in that place. If a member here was the only member from Chile, rest assured he will place a crown on his own head as the "expert on Chile". In reality he's probably a toilet cleaner in Santiago's public lavatories. Yet here he is raving on about Chilean politics as though he's a some kind of Chilean Plato. So it's not good to talk about what an expert you are online - it's best just to put forward arguments if you have any. That's what Plato would probably do.

It's always fun to see a Marxist like you complain about socialists.

You see, now that's a lie because you know it isn't true and you state is as if it is. It's not a mistake or a belief - it's just a lie. You just beat Trump!

Yawn. I have experience in the industry and am married to someone who works in the legal area of the business and that includes with agents.

What you posited simply isn't how it works here.

I'll sum it up succinctly: you're wrong, you have no idea what you're blathering about. Own it.

See? Only a Marxist would reply to me like that.

You're not fooling anyone, comrade.

There are thousands who have similar experiences and many will agree with me. You're using a poor version of the Appeal to Authority logical fallacy. It's a poor one because you're an anonymous username being vague about what you do.

LOL! No, there aren't, nor can you demonstrate that there are any such 'thousands'. Nice ad populum.

Please don't embarrass youarelf by trying to reference logical fallacies. Waaaaaaay above your pay grade.
