It's not going away [nor am I]. I am after saving your ethical compass and resetting it for true North.
You can want what you want politically but to get it though an unethical source of such impure character says something about our nation and about the people who made that choice.
I am sorry if you don't like to hear it but that you don't makes it no less true. We are what we present ourselves to be by our actions. Currently our actions state we are an unethical lot who has no care about the character of the people who lead us. Either than or that we are truly gullible and readily fooled.
It also says we have no ability to discern the difference in equivalencies. We either are justifying the placement of a person of dubious ethics and character with someone far worse knowingly, or we are unable to tell that there is a difference between the two. There is. It's not small. One side is bad, the other far worse. It is not a contest, Trump and MAGA ethics and character deficiencies "win" in that regard by a country mile.
We are placing before our children a horrible example of how to deal with corruption, coping with it by putting someone far more suspect in its place.
Teaching them that the answer to a political swamp is to make it "swampier".
Yeah, I am preachy and you can try and dismiss me by calling me pompous. I'll take the hit, but I am NOT wrong on this. You folks need to think this through better because you aren't making things better. In fact, quite the opposite. There is going to be a price to pay for it and you aren't going to like it, and you will have no one but yourselves to blame for it.
Remember the old goat who told you there was time to fix this before it got worse. I hope you do so, for all our sakes but especially our kids and grandkids.
