Israel and Morocco have agreed to normalize relations as President Donald Trump, in his final weeks in office, announced the fourth Arab-Israeli agreement in four months on Thursday.

It appears that a real estate businessman knows how to make a deal. It involves giving someone what they most want in exchange for giving in to a request. In the case of Morocco, it so wanted its claim over former Spanish Sahara to be recognized by Donald Trump representing the USA. Well, the quid pro quo had been achieved thanks to Jared Kushner who promised American recognition of Morocco's territorial claim. This is how American diplomacy with Donald Trump in the White House.
"In a related major policy shift, the United States agreed to recognize Morocco’s claim over the long-disputed Western Sahara region as part of the deal. "

UN position on Moroccan sovereignty over Sahara ‘unchanged’ by US recognition
The United Nations said Thursday its position was “unchanged” on the disputed Western Sahara region after the United States recognized Morocco’s sovereignty there. Washington did so as it announced that Morocco would establish full diplomatic relations with Israel, in what was reported in the media as a quid pro quo. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres believes “the solution to the question can still be found based on Security Council resolutions,” his spokesman said, describing the UN’s position as “unchanged.”

Israel has acted for decades as if the United Nations and its Resolutions do not matter. The USA (Donald Trump) has lately acted the same way. Netanyahu is losing a friend in the White House but there is still weeks to go before Donald Trump and the Kushner family have gone.
