Israel is really struggling with how difficult its present circumstances make playing the victim. It keeps having to invent new abuses to be victimized by like the imaginary Amsterdam "pogrom" and the fake mass rape narrative that surfaced months after October 7, because it can't sit comfortably in the role of victimizer while on trial for genocide in international courts.

Ain't that the truth.

We see these abuses of the real victims of pogroms against Jewish people being rolled out with disgusting regularity by people who only see their suffering as a useful gag with which to wrap around the mouths of critics of Israeli crimes, opposers of the genocide of Palestinians currently underway.

The real pogroms are not only to be seen in the genocide/ethnic cleansing of Gaza , as gross and clear as an example of what the word pogrom was intended to describe ,but also in the regular attacks on Palestinians and Palestinian property in the West Bank by the illegal settlers backed and supported by the Israeli army.

And yet, as the point was made in the cited OP piece, you never hear this racist and violent Jewish thuggery described as a pogrom.
