Israel is in discussions with South Sudan about the possibility of resettling Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the war-torn East African country, part of a wider effort by Israel to facilitate mass emigration from the territory left in ruins by its 22-month offensive against Hamas.

Six people familiar with the matter confirmed the talks to The Associated Press. It’s unclear how far the talks have advanced, but if implemented, the plans would amount to transferring people from one war-ravaged land at risk of famine to another, and raise human rights concerns.

They started it. Israel finished it. The Palestinian experiment is over. Woe to the conquered. And yes, it’s great they have somewhere to go other than some camp in the middle of the desert because their Arab brethren want nothing to do with them.
 
East Sudan is a representative democracy, wonder how the people of Gaza would handle that.
 

2025 tensions​

In early March, clashes between the Army and the rebel Nuer White Army in the town of Nasir left dozens dead. On March 26, 2025, Vice President Riek Machar was arrested on orders of President Salva Kiir claiming he had instigated and supported the White Army, despite the White Army denying any ties. The arrest was met by a response from the SPLM-IO stating such an act violates the ceasefire that ended the South Sudanese civil war in 2020. Machar's arrest was accompanied by the mass sacking of his supporters, and the arrival of a unit from the Ugandan armed forces invited into the country by Kiir to help fight against the White Army.\

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that the "peace agreement is in shambles" and South Sudan is on "the edge of a collapse into civil war" while the African Union has sent a delegation to try and deescalate the conflict.

Almost as if all of those terror attacks and nightly rockets fired into Israeli neighborhoods are having the intended effect of forcing the Jews out of the Middle East. I guess you don't need tanks and planes and nukes to conquer a nation if you can stomach terrorism against Jewish civilians and using your own children as human shields and cannon fodder.

Gosh darn it, they should just starve the Israelis, like Israel does to the Palestinians.


It is so much more civilized to let people die of starvation or using artillery than to use rockets. Missiles are ok but not rockets

It is uncivilized and a war crime of the highest order to target civilians with starvation, artillery, missiles, rockets, or clubs. Period.

Israel does not target Gazan civilians.

Gazans target Israeli civilians.

There are. Israel is not targeting them. Israel is targeting combatants who are using civilians as human shields. This is why there are civilian casualties.
