Five Isis militants have broken out of a prison in northern Syria after Turkish shelling nearby, a spokesman in the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has said.

The detainees escaped from a prison in Qamishli city, Marvan Qamishlo said.

Meanwhile, women affiliated with Isis attacked security offices with sticks and stones during unrest at a camp in the region where Turkey has launched attacks.

The unrest at al-Hol camp started in the foreigners’ section and involved more people than previous incidents at the camp, Mr Qamishlo said.

“The [Isis] women rose against the internal security forces at al-Hol, they set ablaze tents and attacked the administrative and security offices there with stones and sticks,� he added said.

What is bad is that even putin told turkey their attack might end up setting isis prisoners free. The other bad thing is from what I have been reading turkey seems to not care about us threats like they are sure they will get away with it because nato does not want to let them go, but they are more scared of putin and assad as putin has a much larger military presence in syria than the us does and assad has a battle hardened force now, and turkey can not call on nato.

Something might give, the us might decide it is no longer worth it to keep them in nato and strike back, or russia might get fed up and knock some sense into them, or everyone may just join sides against turkey as turkey seems to bad bad at making friends lately and quick at making enemies.

So, you are back on board with Trump on this one? Did not take long.

You'd actually have to ask someone who is "on the right" at this point.

I've always sat as a moderate, to a centrist liberal.

But this is one of the moves that each president has to make. Several years ago, the left would be fine with this. Now however I don't know why they are more blood thirsty and continually pushing for war this time around. Then again, it could be the fact that Trump is in office and that causes them to go against their better judgment.

Being former military, yet wanting to pull out of the war more and more each year myself. I'm fine with the move, though I knew it was not going to be seamless.

Trump has acted on some foreign policies that I do and do not agree with after all and while I still count him better than Obama in that respect. I do believe that he could still do better.
