My claim that "this jury was biased and unfair" can be supported by looking at the fact that the jury pool was selected from a population of extreme leftists. A jury composed of someone’s political enemies is hardly going to be fair and unbiased.

Trump is an idiot, but he will only be in power for four years.

Russia will not be able to invade the EU while they are bogged down in Ukraine. And even if Trump cuts off American aid to Ukraine, Germany could offset enough of that loss to prevent Ukraine from collapsing until Trump is out of power.

Even if Ukraine does eventually collapse, if they last for a couple more years that gets us halfway through Trump’s term in office. And Russia will have to take time to rebuild their forces before they invade the EU.

Barack Obama figured out how to succeed in Afghanistan. His idea would have worked in Iraq, Syria, and Libya too, had it been tried in those places.

His idea was to have just enough western soldiers in Afghanistan to ensure that the moderate government could not be overthrown, to provide Special Forces operatives to train the Afghan Army to fight, and to let the Afghan Army do all the actual fighting.

Fewer than 20 western soldiers per year were being killed in Afghanistan under that plan, and that number includes accidental deaths.

Still, at least ISIS was destroyed and is no longer a threat. So that is some comfort.
