I don't know. This kinda makes sense to me.

I have always liked the item of term limits, but just two terms for House members just will not work. It takes at least two years just to figure out all of the damn rules by which congress operates. You also don't want all of the members new at the same time. If It was up to me, 5 terms for House members and three terms for the Senate.

1) Term limits incentivize making bad long-term decisions, because they'll be gone in a few years and it will be somebody else's problem.

2) Salary reduction doesn't do shit, they make money because of their connections in the private sector. Nancy Pelosi didn't get filthy rich on her government salary.

3) International travel is a perk. It's a vacation for them.

4) No major democracy in the world runs on single-issue bills, because they can't hide - they either voted yes or no. Plus, these assholes produce so much shit legislation that they have to bundle them up because otherwise there wouldn't be enough time to vote on all of it.

5) They would stop talking, and those that did talk would face endless perjury complaints. Courts would drown in lawsuits. It would become just another partisan weapon.


The fact that he keeps saying "our representatives" indicates he has no idea how government actually works. They don't represent you, they don't even know your goddamn name. They represent themselves.

No, they do not represent themselves. They represent big money billionaires. They do it for themselves, but it is the billionaires who get what they want, not the representatives. They have to eat their dignity to do what they do.

Yes---term limits. People need to be protected from themselves (like most laws do). 2016 & 2024 proved that people are too stupid to vote rationally......
