Chris Christie was quite impressive last night. Is his comeback underway? Do you hear the theme from Rocky in the background?

Christie Comeback Continues

Chris Christie delivered another strong debate performance Tuesday, rekindling hope that despite a demotion to the undercard event, the New Jersey governor’s natural charisma and blunt style is giving the long-shot campaign a chance to build momentum as the GOP presidential primary heats up.
Christie didn’t dominate a debate in which his trio of foes—Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, and Rick Santorum—each had a handful of impressive moments during the hour-long event in Milwaukee. But his humor, firm grip on the issues, and—above all—unrelenting focus on likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton helped him rise above the fray.

Christie Comeback Continues

Chris Christie de*livered an*oth*er strong de*bate per*form*ance Tues*day, re*kind*ling hope that des*pite a de*mo*tion to the un*der*card event, the New Jer*sey gov*ernor’s nat*ur*al cha*risma and blunt style is giv*ing the long-shot cam*paign a chance to build mo*mentum as the GOP pres*id*en*tial primary heats up.
Christie didn’t dom*in*ate a de*bate in which his trio of foes—Mike Hucka*bee, Bobby Jin*dal, and Rick San*tor*um—each had a hand*ful of im*press*ive mo*ments dur*ing the hour-long event in Mil*wau*kee. But his hu*mor, firm grip on the is*sues, and—above all—un*re*lent*ing fo*cus on likely Demo*crat*ic pres*id*en*tial nom*in*ee Hil*lary Clin*ton helped him rise above the fray.
He was at his best when his op*pon*ents, most not*ably the Louisi*ana Gov*ernor Jin*dal, tried to cri*ti*cize his re*cord as gov*ernor of the Garden State, de*flect*ing the barbs to tell the voters watch*ing at home who the real en*emy is.
“Hil*lary Clin*ton is com*ing for your wal*let, every*body,” Christie said. “Don’t worry about Hucka*bee or Jin*dal, worry about her.”
When Jin*dal tried to pick an*oth*er fight with Christie, he de*flec*ted the fel*low gov*ernor with a dose of hu*mor. Christie poin*ted out that he had ac*tu*ally com*pli*men*ted Jin*dal’s re*cord.
“Ima*gine how much time he’d want if I ac*tu*ally cri*ti*cized him,” draw*ing laughs from the audi*ence.
It was a vet*er*an move from Christie, mak*ing him look both fo*cused on the big pic*ture and above the kind of petty at*tacks that of*ten ali*en*ate voters of all stripes. He showed his ex*per*i*ence again early on, when he ad*dressed his re*sponses not to the Fox Busi*ness mod*er*at*ors but the GOP voters watch*ing the de*bate at home.

All I heard from Christie last night was "I know I suck. I know I can't win. But Please Please PLEASE vote for anyone but Hillary." :surrender:surrender:surrender

The only comeback Christie will be making will be to a buffet...
