The German movie which was popular, profitable, well reviewed and highly controversial in Germany. The idea is that Hitler is transported through time from his bunker just prior to his death to Germany in 2014. A myTV producer accidentally films him just after he emerges and upon meeting him thinks he is a method acting satirist, capitalizing on his resemblance to Hitler. As a means of restarting his stalled career he offers "Hitler" a chance to travel across Germany and be filmed interacting with the modern German population. "Hitler" agrees. Meanwhile, "Hitler" interprets everything initially as though World War Two was either still going on or had been won by Nazi Germany.

The bottom line is that the "Hitler satirist" (who amazes everyone by staying constantly in character) becomes immensely popular across modern Germany. Meanwhile, "Hitler" has been introduced to the internet and he learns everything that has happened in the world. He is angry about it and doesn't care for what Germany has become. He quietly resolves to change the world to one more suited to him.

The producer slowly comes to realize that the "Hitler satirist" is actually Hitler himself. First when out trying to buy a dog in a dog walking park, Hitler tries to pet a Jack Russell Terrier but the dog angrily attacks him (the irony being that the dog apparently knows Hitler is evil while millions of Germans do not), Hitler responds by pulling out his pistol and killing the dog. The next event is when the producer takes Hitler to visit his girlfriend (who also works at myTV and has already met "Hitler") who lives with her grandmother. The grandmother who is Jewish immediately knows the "Hitler satirist" is the real deal and becomes hysterical. Her granddaughter tries to comfort her by saying "It's satire, humor". The grandmother says "They laughed at him then too".

It has been said that the movie is absolutely hilarious until the last ten minutes then it becomes terrifying. I wish I knew German so I could get the humor better.
