You had a ton of Democrats saying the same thing when Bush the second was elected.
Remember the dummies sitting there yelling liar, liar. I have never seen anything so classless from either side.
So does two wrongs make a right?
The truth often hurts. Remember the context of the outburst??
There is nothing so sad as the blind devotee who refuses to simply open his eyes to reality.
I suspect that most people have no idea what to do to fix things, so they keep voting the same folks that created the problems back into office, hoping things will change. We all know the definition of insanity... :screwy: :sigh:
I don't recall them saying it the first time he got elected, I recall them saying it the second time he did.
But you are right, they did. But you have to admit it is funnier and distinctly more hypocritical that the Republicans talked about going to Canada because of Obama. I mean fleeing to a country with a nationalized healthcare system and gun control laws.
Are you really calling me a partisan hack? I agree with more of the republican policy then Democrat, I just cannot tolerate the stupid from the Republicans. Full grown men sitting there saying liar liar over and over is embaressing.
yes and that insanity is putting back into office the very same people what caused the problems to begin with.
Is the President YOUR President?
I occasionally hear people say, "President <insert name here> is not MY President!" Usually by people who intensely dislike the current President. To me, this places party loyalty, and to a lesser extent ideology, above country.
Have you ever had such sentiments?
Never claimed you were a partisan hack and never claimed you were a supporter of Obama - simply pointed out that Joe Wilson spoke the truth - your President was lying - and many refuse to open their eyes to that reality.
As for grown men yelling during a session of congress, perhaps your country prides itself too much in silly decorum in order to protect leaders from confronting disapproval. You should try experiencing true democracy, in places like Canada, Britain, Australia, etc., where the country's leader is subjected to questioning in the house of parliament daily and held to account for his/her government's actions. Real men and women, real leaders, are able to withstand scrutiny of their actions - not American Presidents, however.
I cannot remeber which book it was right now but several years ago I read on old book about the founding fathers, I think that book was about 100 years old when I read it. What fascinated me about it was the descriptions of the politicians and the actual fights that would break out, like beating each other with canes and boxing and stuff. But I do think decorum has its place.
But there is no choice.
There are always choices. There is no law that states you must vote for a Republican or Democrat. I assume in most states they have minor parties running like they do here in Georgia. One can vote for them and work to elect them. Here there are always third party candidates for Governor and the senate. Some of our congressional representative races have third party candidates challenging the status quo. But even if the choice is just two names on the ballot, nothing say one can't always vote against the incumbent.
Then there is always the choice to start a grass roots movement, there are plenty of choices if one so desires to work for them.

When you want to catch fish, you find a lure they like. Is the lure now "free stuff," in some form or another? It's sad that some are so easy to manipulate, cause there is no free stuff...everything has a price......
I would be all for that, but it just never happens. Who was the last really serious 3rd party? Perot?
Being as I no longer consent to the US govt, no, hes not my President. WHich doesnt stop him from telling me what to do.

Yes, the poll could have been worded better. Sorry about that. However, judging from the responses, the vast majority understood the intent.
IIRC it was Europe the Left favored. The funny thing is the folks on the right saying they will move to Canada if Obama is elected - and they indicate healthcare as a huge reason.
It was beyond funny, I always wanted to say - you get my point - screw this middle of the road stuff - go to Canada with an actual socialized medicine structure.:lamo
