Most people believe the wicked will be tortured in Hell for eternity, but is that really what the Bible says? We want to challenge you to dig deeper into God's Word, and help you to remove your lens of interpretation, so you can let the Bible interpret itself.

Nobody burns in a fire. Elves sit in the Halls of Mandos and contemplate their deeds while humans leave the circles of the world and it is not known what fate may or may not follow.

It says it right there in the Silmarillion. You don't even need to fight about interpretations! One is defined clearly and the other is clearly defined as undefinable. It makes a much better magic book than the bible.

So, you agree with the video?

Which of course is silly nonsense,

What you really mean is this:

“…help you remove your lens of interpretation, so you can let us (the JW’s) interpret it for you….”

Wrong...the man in the OP is not a JW, yet he knows the truth of what the Bible teaches about the Lake of Fire...

I steer clear of religions whose adherents would have me burn in a lake of fire for all eternity if I misbehave. I know lots of people who go for that kind of thing but not me. Seems kind of extreme.

What about Dante? He claims to have seen it.

Yeah. Prolly.

OH PLZ.

Give me Hell, with all the sinners.

The greater torture would be in Heaven with all the sanctimonious types singing hymns all day long - I'd rather go to Hell.

Another who believes the lies about hell...

So, you believe the lake of fire is real and people burn forever...got it...
I am actually a devotee of the Great God of the Mysteries, the one and only Scoobius Doobius Doo, and His one true prophet Shaagee.

We have no hell.

Bad people just don't get Snacks.

I'll take eternal destruction over eternity with a God who would destroy people for dipping their naughty bits in the wrong other naughty bits.

It is clear that there will be a punishment for those who rejected God.
No one is sure however, if the lake of fire is a figure of speech.

One thing that is clear though, is the dire warning from the Book of Revelation.

Revelation 22

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Changing the Words in the Bible is forbidden by God.

Deuteronomy 12

32 See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.[a]

Deuteronomy 4:2
You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.

Proverbs 30:6
Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

2 Peter 1:20-21
Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Luke 11:28
But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

1 Cor 2:14

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

We shouldn't presume to speak for God.
If we are not sure about something - we have to give the message exactly as it is given.

If the Bible describes the Lake of Fire as eternal - then, we have to believe that it is, ETERNAL.

No amount of interpretation by anyone, or by any other book, should supercede and change what is written in the Bible.
If we believe the Bible is the Word of God - then, we have to believe, HUMBLY accept, and follow what it says.

UNLESS, we don't believe the Bible is the Word of God.......................................well, that's another story. :)
