Is Rubio On The Way Out?

I sort of called it with Musk but that was a bit telegrphed. Trump doesn’t like sharing the spotlight with anyone. Rubio has been mostly benign but the recent development with Chinese Students makes me wonder. He was front and center.

The move itself is pretty crazy. Even the ardent Trump supporters here can only come up with ridiculous tangents to try to provide cover for this bizarre change in course.

Nobody knows why Trump does anything; the only common thread seems to be that someone has to get humiliated in every decision. He’s had Rubio front and center in revoking student visas, deporting foreign born persons, essentially making a fool out of himself as Little Marco tries to salvage his creer. Now, in true Trump fashion, he’s pulled a 180 and now will allow 600 thousand Chinese students into the nation and pull the rug out from under the runt.

No, Trump loves humiliating Li'l Marco, and he can't do that if he fires him.

Though spot-on, it's still hard to believe this describes current U.S. government officials to a T.

I was referring of the job which Rubio has been doing.
You, of course, can hold whatever opinion that you wish. But please, don't contort mine.
 
Its completely possible, on the other hand that the 600,000 Chinese students was part of some deal they put together--Trump and Chi. But that doesn’t eliminate the dual benefit of pleasing his Chinese masters and kicking Rubio in the nuts at the same time. I’m not 100% sure what Chi would get out of having students over here (unles they’re not students of course).

I remember reading such a move in a Tom Clancy novel once except it was Japan. Our navies were on joint manuevers and the Japan navy “accidentally” torpedoed one of our carriers at the same time there was some sort of Asian Olympics going on where they put hundreds of “athletes” into various cities across the pacific islands (Saipan, Manilla, Jakarta). Turns out they were soldiers dressed in athletic gear. It was pretty far fetched. I doubt that is what is hapening here with China. But it is a curious move to allow such an influx at the same time there doesn’t seem to be a GP “win” for either side.

What it does do is take Little Marco’s feet out from under him...he’d have a very hard time explaining how he could support revocation one day and then supporting the tripling the number of Chinese students coming the next.

Whomever upstream said that it was sad that this is where our nation is politicaly was correct. Can you imagine Bush under cutting Baker this way?

Did you ever see that show on the Stars network called Boss with Kelsey Grammer? Exactly what happened there with his staff.
