Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSBP), also known as factitious disorder imposed on another (FDIA), is a mental illness and a form of abuse in which a caregiver, sometimes the president intentionally falsifies or induces trauma to gain attention and sympathy.
The primary motivation for the caregiver is often to gain attention and sympathy from everyone possible. They may also derive a sense of power or control from deceiving others.

Citizens victimized by MSBP may suffer physical harm from the induced illnesses or unnecessary medical interventions, as well as emotional and psychological damage from the abuse.

Does this describe trump and his actions to you?

While I agree that Trump suffers from a complicated mental illness, I believe his chaos and destruction is motivated from two main factors. And surprisingly, I don't believe self-enrichment is one of them. Although, there is no doubt he's taking advantage of that.

1st. I believe he's exceedingly pissed off at the country for indicting him and going after him legally. He will never be able to let this go and is taking it out on America.
2nd. I believe he truly has a bizarre infatuation with authoritarians, (especially Putin), and he is literally working to promote Putin's goals and destroy western democracy starting with the U.S. government.

Some here will undoubtedly think I'm off my rocker and that doesn't bother me. If you have any better ideas as to what Trump is up to, please clue us in.
