What really pisses me off is that in all these tradedeficit talks, services are simply excluded. Because if included, the trade imbalance would be the other way round. Dishonest to the bone, as expectet from ourday USA. If I would reign, services would be taxed heavily so that Besos, Zuckerberg, Gates and Musk can close the gap.

Yes, let's put tariffs on internet services, we have a trade deficit.

I agree, but that is how it is... in everything. From why a war started, who is to blame, why some use % numbers and then suddenly do not.. it all depends on what political narrative you want to push. Populations are easily manipulated because their attention spans are so small.. they after all have to get on with day to day life, and dont have an hour or two to dissect the newest news and what it actually means. So they rely on media, who these days are owned and controlled by the uber rich and push their wishes.

Oh and I still think the EU would have a trade surplus with the US, just not as big.
