Desantis had an elected official in his state removed from office because of two things, first he was a Democrat, and second he would not toe Desantis's line when it came to abortion and transgenders. You have to realize that the Dem did nothing wrong as there has been no indictments for doing a forbidden abortion and there is no Florida law concerning transgenders. In stead, Desantis used this as an excuse to remove a Dem and put an ass kissing Trumper in his place. You can agree or disagree, but what happens in other states when GOP governors follow Desants's lead. Say a Secretary of State in Arizona who fails to follow a GOP governor's decision to reject the election results of an election that goes against the GOP candidate. Is this the beginning off the true autocratic rule in these states? I think so.

Thankfully, I believe the majority of governors, both republican and democrat respect our system and would not attempt to seize complete control of their state government even if given the blueprint/roadmap by douche bag Desantis.

I support the rooting out of transgenders wherever and whenever possible. Guess that makes DeSantis is my hero then.

Why are you so afraid of transgenders?
Possibly because homophobes are often closeted homosexuals themselves.

Why are you so afraid of transgenders?

Not afraid, slightly repulsed. I'm tired of them getting all up in my face that's all.

When a prosecutor or a judge openly declares that they refuse to enforce the law, it is appropriate and just to remove them from power.

Since you raised the issue, I've been confused about something. The person DeSantis suspended was elected to his position. In fact, he was elected twice. Where does the governor get the power to remove public servants who the people have elected into office? It just seems wrong. Why would Americans bother to vote for down-ticket positions if the governor of a state has the power to summarily remove them?

"Rooting out" to what end. What 'cha gunna do with them once you've "rooted them out"?

When they're rooted out maybe they stop getting in up in our faces so much.

If DeSantis overstepped his bounds.........you know damn well that millions of democrat dollars would flood into Florida to combat his so called dictatorship.

Until them you are relegated to making dumb assed threads.

No, when they are an elected official that is up to the electorate through an election, recall or impeachment. Removing a duly elected official and replacing him with one, not in keeping with the electorate is dead ass wrong mp matter your party affiliation.

How does "rooting them out" stop them from getting "up in your face"? Would you care to elaborate?

This is why our extremist Supreme courts hands rights to the states, so they can secede without the paperwork, and start ruling their state like a country.

I can't imagine what Kari Lake would do in AZ is she wins.

I would bet that 99% of all transgendered people would prefer to stay as far away from your face as possible. You have a vocal handful of them and some well-meaning "sympathizers" that would like to root out your bigotry. By in large, these people are realistic that this will never happen and just want to be left alone. The MSM has whipped up your fear of "others" and their trans-activism. That is what is "in your face." You can always change the channel.

If trans people just want to be left alone why are they making themselves so visible?

He was elected to do a job that he is refusing to do. The governor was also elected to do a job. It's his responsibility to make sure the law is followed. That is why there is a process for him to follow to remove even another elected official from his office.

Ron DeSantis is the modern day Republican answer to Huey Long. He's the Sunshine State Fascist.

As usual DeSantis struck against someone who dare disagree with him. Prosecutors have huge discretion on who they prosecute and how they deploy their scarce resources. DeSantis is an autocrate.

And after you root them out, who will be your next target to root out. Shouldn't we at least measure their heads first before we root them out?

BINGO!

I wonder, would you also be repulsed by blacks, Muslims, feminists getting into your face? What about someone wearing a MAGA hat? Repulsed by that too?
