Iowa Tells Workers to Return to Jobs or Lose Benefits – NBC Chicago
Iowa is warning furloughed workers that they will lose their unemployment benefits if they refuse to return when their employer calls them back to work.
Gov. Kim Reynolds is moving to partially reopen 77 of the state’s 99 counties Friday, relaxing restrictions that were intended to stop the spread of the coronavirus.Restaurants, some bars, malls, fitness centers, and retail stores are expected to open their doors for the first time in several weeks.
Republican scumbag leadership looking out for the workers.

Let them people stay home and starve then

Smaller-less intrusive govt. is what the Repubs will give us if we elect them....But alas, it is time for the slaves to get back to the rock pile.

I'm confused why this is news; isn't that how furloughed unemployment benefits work in every state?

This is great news. Thank you. Republicans getting their state going again, not falling prey to the socialist lie.
Degenerate crap supporting degenerate crap. By the way it has nothing to do with opening up, but to be honest I did ot expect you to grasp that detail.
How is your prediction doing by the way? Still embarrassed to post the facts I see.

Wait, isn't that how it is supposed to work? When the job opens back up you need to go back else forfeit unemployment benefits. The whole idea is to cover the employee when the job is not available.
Safe work environment tells you anything or you are just being obuse for the sake of it?

You have the details?

I have no evidence they aren't, and since, in my experience, most businesses provide a generally safe work environment for their employees, that is my default assumption. Why would anyone assume they aren't?

Because "generally" is not the same as in a pandemic.

Go forth and die so that governors can kiss the ring of the orange precious.

If a significant surge results from "going back to work", Iowa will go BLUE in November.

If you say so. I've had to go to work for each of my shifts for the past few months, so I guess having done it, I don't see why others wouldn't be able to handle it.

More degenerate crap from the usual conservatives.

His posts read more like hyperbolic parody of a conservative. He kind of overplayed the act.

You should broaden your understanding of the situation.

Not helpful. If the government and the business owners agree that it is safe, then you need some strong evidence otherwise. Sounds like you don't have any.

I would consider that so if it was not the ONLY thing he ever posts.

I'm not sure. When I suspected the parody thing, I kind of stopped paying attention.

So long as it is Safe to go back to the particular job, notice none of the Governor's opening their States have said it is Safe. Gonna be some changes in the States governments and in the Federal government. Reap what you sow

To you? NOt surprising.

Have they? What evidence of that do you have or you just like the dictate of the republican governor?

What in the world? Are you serious? The governor just said it's ok to work. And if the business owners don't agree, they won't open their business. How can you not see that they would both have to agree it's safe before workers are called back? Like... that's literally the point of this discussion is that the government and the businesses agree it's safe. Wow...
