[Iowa] Iowa bill to require the national anthem to be sung every day.

In Germany, school children were required to make an oath to Chancellor Hitler at the beginning of their day.

So, you know where this leads.
Der Drumpf....

I'm not fond of a requirement that schoolkids say the Pledge of Allegiance, and now singing the national anthem - which is not easy to do well - strikes me as mickey mouse malarkey.

If you sing O Canada here everyone will think a hockey game is about to start.

When President Obama told kids to study hard and prepare for college, Righty said that President Obama was "indoctrinating" students.

ROFLMMFAO.

Forced nationalistic behaviour.

Idiots. West Virginia State Board of Education vs. Barnette.
1st amendment violation. Y'all gonna waste time and tax payer money.
You are aware that 47 States which still require the Pledge of Allegiance to be recited, right? Just because the Supreme Court makes a ruling does not mean the States will comply.

Teachers now have to have good singing voices?

On a side note: pitch pipes make a comeback!
In Massachusetts "failure for a period of two consecutive weeks by a teacher to salute the flag and recite said pledge as aforesaid, or to cause the pupils under his charge so to do, shall be punished for every such period by a fine of not more than five dollars."

Got lots of room to talk.
How do you say I'm compelled to speak?
