The government of India unlawfully denied entry into their country to a professor from the UK.

Clearly, India has been corrupted by Russia.

All American call centers in India must be closed.

Microsoft and the others who outsourced to India must bring those jobs back to America.

India is its own nation and its actions should not be interpreted as the result of “Russian Corruption,” whatever that means.

Think of this professor as akin to the 1/6 MAGA seditionists.

Are you not being a little too severe? It seems to me countries allow entry to foreigners at their discretion

Perhaps so.

This woman was kept in a cell at the airport for several hours with no explanation.

It just seems abusive to me.

Phoenix.

I never though of it that way.

Good point.

I agree that being stuck in a cell is wrong. Nations can refuse entry to those they believe sew seeds of sedition, but they should be kept in some comfort until the next available flight for them to depart. That is simple human courtesy.

Yes, I also agree that being confined to a cell is more than a bit uncool. I was once denied entry into a nation many, many years ago; but they were very polite and didn't do anything like treat me badly. BUT they were very uncool to a plane full of folks because they had that plane taxi back to (well, close to) the terminal and then took me out to the plane and got me aboard. Thing is, though, all that takes a fair bit of time to be done safely. Once I was aboard I had some mighty nasty looks at me by the others on board. And the AC was rather --- well, he was quite upset. I don't really blame him, either. The whole business was repeated at the next airfield/destination, as by then my own government wanted to have a word with me and had another aircraft held up while I was changed to that one. That second time the airfield authorities weren't near as polite as at that first airfield in the previous country.

She promoted the idea that Kashmir was illegally occupied by India in her course work.

In February 2024, Kaul was invited to participate as a speaker in a two-day convention, but she was denied entry to India at Kempegowda International Airport, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, even though she carried a valid Overseas Citizen of India credentials.[18][19] Kaul said that the order was a result of her criticism of Indian Government Policies in Kashmir. On 29 Feb 2024, a spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs (India) stated that "giving entry to a foreign national into the country is a sovereign decision", while many BJP leaders called Nitasha Kaul a 'known terrorist sympathiser' who spread anti-India propaganda.[21]

This has little to do with Russia and all to do with Modi and his government. He refuses entry to all journalists or academics who has critisized his government, especially if they are invited by the opposition. Kaul was invited to speak at a Congress Party event, that was all BJP needed to ban her.
